Over 600 feet of McIntosh RD swale in the County ROW is severely clogged. Evidence is several sediment dams that creates year-around lakes of standing water up to 12 inches deep. In those lakes are algae and complete coverage with floating aquatic plants (e.g., water lilies). The clogged swale prevents drainage from our 0.85 acre stormwater pond. This is a serious mosquito breeding problem for the adjacent 20-home development (Ashton Oaks), where I live.

This issue was reported about 9 months ago (Issue ID 4568094, service Request ID SR442978). An official met with our HOA president last year, but the swale has never been regraded and grass mowed.

We request that the clogged swale be corrected ASAP before the rainy season starts.
