In the new development, Cedar Creek Park, the majority of lots have not been developed. On 201st Place SE, the new properties back up to our property. We are VERY concerned about the tall grass that is now growing out of control next to our property and will quickly be dry grass in the weeks to come. People are already using this open space to set off fireworks, and this activity will certainly escalate leading up to and during the Fourth of July. The tall grass is a major fire hazard that we would like addressed, for our sake and all of our neighbors that also have property next to this development. If this is not the place to make this request, please guide me to the correct person/company, or forward on the message. Thank you for looking into it.

This is a section of the Cedar Downs/Cedar Park trail between Maple Valley and Covington. There are three cement barriers here to prevent the dirt bikes and quads from using the trail. At some point this past week, someone dug out dirt from under a giant cedar tree that sits just above the trail (the tree is just above the barrier in the photo), to build a ramp that allows them to now take quads onto the main trails. It is very evident that they have been using this ramp and destroying the trail. I am also very concerned for the safety of people using the trail at this section because of the amount of soil that was dug out from the roots of the tree. At the very least, someone should evaluate it. With that said, I am always very appreciative of the work done regularly on this trail. Your staff had their work cut out for them after all the snow and wind we experienced recently. So many trees came down in all the trails in this area but your staff had it cleared within a week of the snow melting. Thank you!
