There are so holes in this sidewalk that go underneath that building wall at this vacant site. I reported one hole in May 2022, 10
Months ago- I believe it was addressed with caution tape and fines. But this stretch is getting MORE dangerous especially for small children, strollers, or those with walkers. Can anything be done to force the owner to repair?

The stone wall on the south side of this entrance to Lincoln Parks seems to have a large stone missing and others loose - as you can see, my kid noticed it and wanted to touch it! Wasn't sure who to contact about it but the stones seem unstable. This is Lincoln Park east

The flex posts were removed from this corner for recent repaving on West side, can someone come to reinstall them if the work is done? The flex posts are still here to the side of a building. Southwest corner of West Side Ave and Lexington Avenue thank you

Not sure what category to put this under, but the way this driveway is structured at this business is extremely dangerous the pedestrians. I have almost been hit twice here because of the lack of visibility since they use brick walls to get off their parking lot, and have seen an accident here right during School dismissal time. Can someone come out and take a look at whether there's a visibility issue that can be rectified here?

Both Northern corners of Lexington at West Side are currently under construction, forcing people into traffic, these are the only parts of the intersection that have a ramp for strollers and wheelchair. There is no safe corridor for walking in the street, and there is no officer directing traffic. We nearly got hit trying to go far around the cement mixer. This is hazardous at any intersection but with the library here it is incredibly dangerous when there is already no marked crosswalk. I was under the impression that a safe Corridor had to be created whenever sidewalks were blocked off with construction

A lot of debris has been swept into drains since the big rain this week is there a department that can clean these out along mallory? One example here on lexington, since it's downhill a lot of debris built up and contributes to flooding in the next storm

Looks like a garbage bag ripped open during pick up. Note that this has an elementary school on the street, it's going to be a mess come pick up time

HOLE in the sidewalk in front of this vacant property. A very real hazard for tripping and makes me concerned about foundation. I see a history of sidewalk issues at this site, please address promptly!

Spilled recyclables

A pretty significant slush pile blocking the crosswalk right by the dairy Queen. There is an elementary school right on this street and it's making it difficult for families to get across safely. The other corners looked okay to me but it would be good if someone could also double check, there is a guard here but she can only do so much when the crosswalk is blocked

Vacant property owner has made no attempt to shovel out. This is half the block with impacted snow. This man pushing a stroller wound up having to CARRY this stroller the whole way. Owner needs to clear asap

Difficult to traverse with stroller or cane

All four corners are very difficult to navigate with snow/slush into the street. With the school, hospital, and light rail station all nearby this needs to be cleaned asap for safety.

Damage to signs - bus stop sign knocked to group and the pedestrian crossing signal is banging from the pole. Guessing a driver collided with these recently and knocked over. Northeast corner of Communipaw & Mallory.

Resubmitting this complaint as the city has clarified the address is 549 West Side avenue, though I do not see what difference that should make. The obstruction is worse than when I file the initial complaint with the entire width of the sidewalk now impassable. Additionally vehicles are still allowed to park next to it, which is forcing families 6 ft into the street just as trucks and vehicles are rounding the corner. On street sweeper day today, I was practically in tears by the end of my block between a combination of this obstruction and people parking on the sidewalk. Do not close this comment until the issue has been alleviated. I was under the impression that Jersey City requires temporary sidewalks that construction sites. If that does not apply here, please clarify what precautions will be taken to ensure that children are not forced into the street on their way to the school two blocks away.

If I sound upset please know that I am. Every time I file a complaint on this app I'm giving some sort of BS response from the city about protocols and corrections of addresses, children are going to be hit and injured at this intersection because of the willful negligence of this city to protect their safety. The sidewalk was dug up here several weeks ago and plywood placed. However, it is very difficult to get through on the plywood with a stroller or a wheelchair and the plywood is beginning to sag and cannot bear as much weight creating a hazard

The plant has been removed from the large planters the city put out and is now obstructing the sidewalk
