The pedestrian crosswalk at the intersection of Dunkerrin/Andover/ and Tilly Mill Rd needs drastic attention. Children living in Dunwoody North, Briers North, and other neighborhoods along Tilly Mill Rd use this crosswalk to walk or bike to school at Chestnut and Peachtree Middle School. This is also a main pedestrian/bike route to Dunwoody Senior Baseball Fields and Brook Run Park. This is an extremely dangerous crosswalk. Cars travel at a very high rate of speed and ignore the crosswalk. A pedestrian crosswalk such as the one on Winters Chapel Road would slow traffic and make crossing safer. I inquired about this last year and was given information that improvements to this intersection were in the works, but I have not seen any improvements at this location. To make Dunwoody a desirable walk/bike/run city, we must make it safer.
