Dear Sir/Madam – Sorry if this is the incorrect place to submit this inquiry, but I could not find a more appropriate avenue. I live on Lull Street. The “forest” in the clover loop between the highway and the offramp is (or at least for the last 3 years) overrun with Gypsy moths. There is no reason to believe they will not be worse this season. There are so many you can hear the moths comping the leaves. Presumably the loop is DOT property and I asked them about pest control, but the DOT is not known for their responsiveness.

Unless action is taken the moths are going to overrun the Islington neighborhood over the next couple years and I’m not sure what percentage of trees will die, but plenty. This also affects the trees on the town’s property adjacent to my lot. I’d argue it’s a community wide problem that can only be solved with a community wide response.

Please let me know your thoughts.
    Thank you for your time.
