I had a photo but I had an error with uploading. There is a bunch of dumped trash and debris on the side of Emerson Elementary between Lawton and Shafter on 49th street.

Today they are working on the concrete/sidewalk on the opposite side of the street (in my opinion, less of a tripping hazard), but needed as well. My problem is two things:

    1) is there a NOTIFICATION process from the public works dept when work is to be scheduled? PG&E and EBMUD puts cones and tents out when work is to be completed, so we can plan for it. We've heard nothing from the Public Works Dept for today's work. It is a very loud and disruptive sound that has caused me to have to end telephone calls because they were rendered useless when the other person cannot hear a thing of what you just said. All today's business activities from 8:30 am - 12 pm will have to postpone to next week. Problem! A simple call, text, note on the door, tent, or flyer would be sufficient. That simple courtesy, how long would that take your dept in exchange for a HUGE difference in our ability to minimize disruption for distance learning and remote working scenarios.

    2) This request for the Shafter side of the sidewalk was recently elevated (I believe last year) while the 44th side has been elevated for more than 4 years now. How do you set the priority? Is it first-come, first-served, or is it based on the severity of the issue? In either scenario, the 44th side of the sidewalk fits both criteria, so it is quite confusing (and frankly frustrating) that the Shafter side of the street has deemed more necessary to get repaired.

I am registering this request for repair again after multiple years of making the request. And it Tim is Scott neighborhood I am seeing sidewalk and curb side repaired over and over again yet this request those unanswered, this is Matt Aesthetics, this is a accident or injury waiting to happen. This is clearly a safety issue.
