The street frequently floods firing heavy rainfall due to inadequate drainage. Another drain needs to be installed in this cul-de-sac. The road slopes to this corner — all the water from the road and curl-de-sac drain here, and the current drain can’t handle the volume. This has occurred multiple times per year since we have lived here.

The city plows the walking path between neighboring houses, and piles the snow on the street curb. This is at the low point in the cul-de-sac, which is where all of the melting snow flows to the storm drain. As a result, the melting water is blocked and forms a large pool of water flooding the street. This occurred in the past and damaged the asphalt and underlying soil and substrate. The city had to excavate 8’ feet of the underlying soil when the street was repaved a few years ago do to this damaged caused by flooding.
Request city to clear snow to allow the water to drain.
