I have been living in this area for 4 years. (I can see this light from my home and have to take this route in order to get home.) When you are going west on MLK turning north onto Oak road, the arrow changes out of a normal pattern from other lights. Most lights will give you the left turn signal at the same time as the through traffic on the same side of the road you are on receives the green light. Instead, the through traffic on the same side of the road gets a green light while the left turn signal remains red.

Most people are accustomed to getting the left arrow at the same time as the through traffic. Due to this, a good amount of people do not notice this difference and don't realize they're running the light. This then causes the other side of through traffic to t-bone the person running the red the left turn signal.

This causes a lot of accidents in this area. I've seen several accidents occur, I've almost been in an accident, and my significant other has almost been in an accident.

Could please have this left turn signal changed to reflect the patterns of other lights. I feel that this would help cut down on the accidents and would make me feel a little safer taking this route home.
