First let me say I very much appreciate all of the hard work that goes into trash and recycling pickup. I am wondering if it is possible for routes to be changed so that trash and recycling pick up doesn't occur along 7th during peak traffic times (and focus is on side street pick up at those times). Traffic is already backed up during school drop off times for example, and the trash/recycling pick up causes further traffic back ups. Sometimes it's also very difficult to tell that a truck is just stopped and won't be moving forward for awhile. The area around Washington intersection is particularly troublesome for this. Again appreciate all the hard work and please take this as a suggestion not a criticism.

I am again submitting a request for installation of left turn signals from seventh onto Liberty. During peak traffic times, it is impossible to turn left without running red lights (if at all). My last submission was closed with the comment "lights are functioning as they should). I respectfully ask that this be the-examined. I have driven this stretch daily for the last 5 years and the school traffic and other peak traffic leads the possibility of left turns impossible at most times. I don't understand, for example, why we have left turn signals from Pauline onto Seventh and they can't be installed on a much busier intersection (7th and Liberty - they are installed in the Liberty stretch). Can you please re-examine or provide a better explanation. It doesn't make sense to me why the City is ok with people needing to run red lights - especially when turning onto Huron is not longer permitted when traveling South and the Washington-Seventh stretch no longer has easy left turns due to the crosswalk island and elimination of the left turn lane.

I had requested crosswalk lines to be put in on this crossing last summer and had been told the budget for the 2022 year was allocated and this would be addressed this year (2923). I'd like to see what the status is. While I appreciate all of the work that has gone into pedestrian safety around town especially downtown, it seems to me that the *bare minimum* should be addressed first before the "nice to haves" continue to be implemented around town EIt is a *bare minimum* to have *something* here for pedestrians to cross safely - there are I crosswalk lines, no pedestrian signs, *nothing.* specially with the school year approaching - this is a commonly used crossing for kids walking to Lawton elementary.

The left turn signal (from Washtenaw eastbound to Huron Parkway) doesn't seem to last long enough for sufficient cars to get through during peak periods. Today for example I had to sit through 3 cycles of lights to be able to turn left.

For the past week or so during peak traffic times, it takes a really long time to get through the lights at the S Main/Eisenhower intersection (this is heading south on S Main through the intersection going towards Pittsfield Meijer/Target from Ann Arbor). I've had to wait up to 15 cycles of the lights to get through the intersection because traffic becomes so backed up. One time it took me about 20-30 minutes to get from the Busch's area of south main to the Whole Foods area of south main. Wondering if the timing of these lights has been changed recently? With Scio closed there aren't many other options for those of us who live in this area and the southbound traffic flow is substantially busier and slower in the past week or so and it's very unclear why.
