  • Norman Ave Glen Burnie, MD, 21060, USA - Glen Burnie

There is a rain garden in the cul-de-sac at the end of Norman Ave and we have had ongoing issues with county vehicles making turns much tighter than necessary and destroying the grass and leaving large tire tracks inside of it. The vehicles are usually servicing the pump station at the end of the road, but are also sometimes salt trucks that have come around in the past few months during inclement weather.

Houses 514 and 519 have witnessed both in person and on security camera footage that standard-sized pickup trucks have frequently made these tracks, while they have also witnessed fire trucks, ambulances, and UPS/FedEx trucks be able to make the turn without putting any tires in the dirt at all. There is more than enough room for a vehicle just about any size to complete the turn without needing to cause this damage. When it rains, these tire tracks fill with pools of water and create a lot of mud. The same county vehicles will then run through the mud and spread dirt and rocks all over the street. Grass is unable to grow back because of the frequent damage caused weekly by county vehicles running their vehicles through the dirt, usually pickup trucks with 4 wheels on the rear axle.

This was previously reported by a different neighbor back in Fall 2021 and the issue was fixed and grass was planted, but county vehicles are once again destroying the rain garden.

    Md-100 W Pasadena, MD, 21122, USA - Glen Burnie
The bridge on 100E over Rt 2 right before exit 16B is very bumpy due to potholes, uneven asphalt, and bridge joints. I noticed many of these bridges on 100 are being repaved, but construction seems to have halted and this bridge really needs to be redone also. Thank you in advance.
