Icey, unsafe conditions. The sidewalks on both sides of Hyde (and most other O.N.E. streets) are sheer black ice ~ or solid chunky ice ~ for extended stretches. This is extremely unsafe!! Why aren't the sidewalk plows throwing down sand or salt? Just clearing the snow out of the way isn't providing the citizens of this neighborhood with the service they deserve. There are several mobility-impaired people living on this street ~ one who uses a wheelchair ~ and they need to walk in or roll down the street in order to navigate towards North Street or Archibald. I have noticed that other parts of the city have clear and dry sidewalks: Downtown around Church Street and Main; the South End and Pine. Is there any reason why our neighborhood can't be served at the same level of efficiency and effectiveness?

PLEASE do not just say that the sidewalks were cleared and close this matter. I am NOT complaining about the snow and the fact that the sidewalks were ONLY cleared and nothing done to mediate the ice accumulation on them IS what I am complaining about. Thank you.

Water from kitchen and bathroom taps smells like swamp/algae. Concerned about drinking and/or using water for cooking. This is the third day in a row that it has smelled like this. It is now the 27th of July.
