The intersection of Crowley Dr. and Fitchburg St. is dangerous, an accident waiting to happen. Currently, about 500 cars enter and leave this street daily. There is similar traffic on the road across the street for employees to get to Boston Scientific. There's a Rail Trail crossing at this intersection. When a driver wants to make a left turn out of Crowley, s/he cannot see traffic coming up Fitchburg St. from the right because the view is obstructed. Speed limit signs are too small and too close to the intersection. The speed limit is rarely followed on Fitchburg St. Most of the residents on this street have had near-miss accidents. During work rush hours in the a.m. and p.m., the situation is much worse and even worse than that in the winter with snow banks obscuring the views more. People have taken to going right on Fitchburg St., going down to the Moose Club, turning there and then coming back up to get on the Connector. A traffic light is needed here. It is much better to be pro-active about this situation than to react after a fatal accident.
