    The pedestrian signals at all four corners of this intersection are not working. It’s a pretty busy intersection as cars are coming off the freeway and speeding up Beaumont. Pedestrians (tons of kids) are having to run across the street which is dangerous. Please fix this as soon as you can. Thank you.

    Hello, I am a homeowner on E36th Street and my kids ride the school bus from Edna Brewer to the temporary Glenview Elementary location in the Santa Fe neighborhood. I’ve noticed over the many years I’ve been in Glenview that drivers speed down Beaumont and Excelsior all day and all night. I’ve seen accidents, have heard accidents and have helped people that have been hurt in accidents. With all of the kids in the neighborhood walking to the school bus, walking to Edna Brewer and walking to Oakland High, we are LONG overdue for traffic monitoring. A traffic break at Beaumont and E 38th would be ideal and possibly speed bumps on both Beaumont and Excelsior within 3-4 blocks of the school’s would also help. But at the very least someone needs to come out and monitor the traffic speeds in the area. We’ve seen so many incidents where kids have almost been hit by cars speeding or turning when they’re not supposed to. Please help us keep our kids safe. Thanks.
