Dead tree. Since there's a tall tree here, something shorter and shade-tolerant would probably be best. I know MIT really wants a continuous treeline here so however we can make that work I guess...

Vehicles driving over the bridge into Cambridge frequently turn right on red (onto Memorial) despite the clear signage prohibiting right turns on red. I have been hit twice here and I can't even tell you how many near misses I've had with cars illegally turning right here while I'm biking straight through this intersection in a green light without turning right. Please, please address this. A plain-clothes officer stationed here taking pictures of violators would quickly rack up moving violation citations. I don't know the best way to enforce this, or how to actually make this safer and prevent cars from doing this, but this is a huge and ongoing safety issue. Approximately 3 out of 5 times I pass through this intersection, someone in a car zooms to the right when they have a red right arrow, with zero regard for the fact that there's a bike lane to the right of them which may have cyclists coming through.
