    Good morning Rob,

After yesterday's TAC meeting, I became concerned that, given the available speaking time, I had not clearly explained the timing of our last pothole repairs and the timing of the appearance of our latest crop of this winter's potholes. Also, I did not explain that STCE had not yet reported these new potholes to you and requested their repair. I apologize if there was any misunderstanding.

These last few years we have had very prompt pothole repairs. Last April, I believe, an STCE resident reported several potholes at one time and these were promptly repaired. The asphalt applied to last year's pothole repairs still looks good. However, just in the last few months, the rain and wear on STCE's thin asphalt, have opened up another numerous crop of potholes, including the "monster" one that I showed the size of yesterday using a newspaper template. That large pothole is on the eastern end of Coronado Road. This road sustains extra wear because residents in the neighborhood to the east, Sabino Clusters, chose to use Coronado as an access into their neighbor hood. They chose to use our STCE Coronado road, not because they have to (as the Sabino Cluster resident stated at yesterday's TAC meeting), but because it allows them to avoid Ocotillo, the local collector Road. They do this to avoid the speed bumps on Ocotillo. We cannot police this.

We have not yet reported this year's potholes, but will very soon. We will send you a complete map or list of these potholes by the end of next week so that they can hopefully be fixed on one trip, rather than piecemeal over multiple trips. We have had prompt pothole repairs from you in the past and anticipate that, given your available resources, we will also receive that same good service in the future. Thank you.

P.S. I hope that STCE's PCI point rating will be determined prior to repairs. Please feel free to forward this e-mail.
