There is only 1 storm drain on the side of the road my house sits on. The street is a hill and another street, also a hill, ties into it. The 1 storm drain is after my house and is responsible for all water on this side for both streets (both hills), while the other side has 3 storm drains just on my street alone. Ever since the fire hyrdrant in front of my house was replaced, our basement has flooded twice. We never had water issues the previous 4 years we've lived here. I don't know if it is the curb they replaced, the gravel they put around the hydrant or what, but the amount of water coming down the hill on our side with nowhere to go but our front yard has become a major issue that has cost us thousands of dollars ever since the hydrant replacement.

My driveway is located a few feet from the storm drain on Willow ave but the curbs of the road end prior to my driveway and any heavy rain causes run off water to put down my driveway. Is there anyway to continue the water diversion that howard county installed a few years ago to prevent the runoff of the neighborhood from flooding down my driveway. Any help is much appreciated. Thank you.
