The Thursday Street cleaner has been in the neighborhood the past fee weeks, but keeps skipping Morris Street. The same thing happened last year, and tons of leaves built up. Is Morris St not part of the route?

There are several tree-pruning and -removal requests unresolved in Paulus Hook. I've collected all in ## 12599874
Alfonso Lynch who has ignored tree pruning requests in Paulus Hook for months, had said that pruning was scheduled for July 12th. But nothing happened. There are 10-12 foot branches waiting to fall on peoples heads on Morris Street, and other dead trees in neighborhood. Please do something!

There are several tree-pruning requests assigned to Alphonso Lynch. He hasnt responded for months; I don’t think he works for the city anymore.
Can they be assigned to someone else please? The fairy tree and other trees on Morris have dangerous, dead 10+ foot branches, there’s a dead tree on Washington and a termite infested one on Essex. Please help
  • 507-523 Washington Blvd Jersey City, NJ, 07310, USA - The Waterfront
The traffic lights on Washington Street going through Newport in both directions are completely uncoordinated. You wait at a red light, and when it gets green, the one two blocks in front of you turns red.
As a result, traffic doesn’t flow, and Newport is full of idling cars and more pollution than necessary.
If lights were coordinated, like they are in Manhattan and Brooklyn, traffic would flow through Newport at 25Miles per hr. This would discourage drivers from speeding up suddenly, and would create less pollution.
Can someone have a look at that, please? It should be pretty simple to re-program, and there are no other big roads in that part of town to take into consideration.
  • 200-214 Warren St Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - Downtown
I cross this intersection several times a day, and often have to jump for my life, as do other pedestrians, because cars just speed through. Can we please have a stop sign here? Most of the other intersections in Paulus Hook have one. Does someone have to get killed before we get one?

This very deep Pothole was reported in another post 20 days ago, and has STILL not been fixed! Someone called Brian erroneously closed Issue ID: 9434626 Without the hole being fixed. This is very dangerous and on a busy street, please fix ASAP
    Its bigger than a hubcap
  • 1-41 Aetna St Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - Downtown
The new bridge leading to Liberty Stare Park/Philips Street from Jersey Avenue hasn’t been shoveled at all since the storm.
Hundreds of people cross this each day, to get to and from the park, and theres so much snow, it’s dangerous. Can someone please clear it?
  • I-78 W Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - Downtown
All the street lights on I78 btw Jersey City and Bayonne are out. Road is pitch-black
  • 216 Washington Street Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - The Waterfront
I have reported this many times. People do not move their cars for street cleaning, and none of the cars have tickets on them. Morris st btw Washington and Warren has not been cleaned for 3 months. There are piles of leaves that are now rotten and smelly. Many of the parked cars do not have zone 3 permit, this is also not enforced
Also a huge hole in street that needs paving over

This was also discussed on issue 8887427 which was closed -without being resolved.

Streets in Paulus hook are not being cleaned. This is Morris St btw Warren and Washington. It hasn’t been swept for over a month; no one moves their cars anymore, and cars parked during street cleaning periods (most there for days on end without zone 3 permit) are NEVER ticketed. I realize its the pandemic, but the month-old leaves are becoming a hazard. When wet, the street is as covered in mud. Inspector Torres was assigned to the case, but the issue was not resolved (as you can see)

  • Warren St & Essex St Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - Downtown
Confusing signage: Can we park here? There is an arrow saying ‘no stopping’ and then right after that a parking sign for 2hrs or zone 3 permit. Can we park there or not??
  • Morris St & Warren St Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - Downtown
Can we have a stop sign here? Cars zoom across this crosswalk every day; pedestrians running for their lives. Seems most drivers do not respect the pedestrian crossing or the neon sign. Its only a matter of time before someone gets hurt -or worse
  • 1-7 Essex St Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - The Waterfront
The new park underneath the Colgate clock is packed with free-running dogs every day. No owners keep their dog on a leash. You can’t sit and enjoy the view without dogs running all over you. Is this a designated dog run? It might help to install a fenced-in dog run under the clock, so the dogs could go there, and the rest of us could enjoy the area safely? Tonight a toddler was knocked over by the animals, none of the dog-owners seemed to care.

On neighbouring Sussex Street and Essex Street, parking is for their residents only after 5pm and on weekends. How can we get the same status on Morris Street?
Our street is always full of parked cars from visitors who come to eat at one of the nearby restaurants, and Morris Street residents have nowhere to park. Is there an application we can start on our street? Do we need to start a petition, and if so, who should we send it to?
