Looks like this issue has been resolved.
The signs have been removed, so until the city makes it's move it is ok to park on Merriam Pkwy along the wall of the Government property. The next phase will be when it snows. The contractors that have recently removed the post office parking lot snow have been dumping it in the parking spaces on the street. I hope DPW will be able to handle that situation.Thank you to whoever finally forced the removal of the signs.

When will the government remove the signs that are keeping people from parking there. People are afraid that their vehicles will be towed.

When Merriam Pkwy was repaved in 2002, the government wanted to number the parking spaces on Merriam Pkwy. Somehow City Councilor Norm Boisvert intervened and it was stopped. Now when the post office lot is plowed they dump the snow in the parking spaces on merriam, and now they have eliminated all public parking on Merriam. Will the city in the future continue to pave that area that the government claims? Somehow we the citizens of Fitchburg are getting the short end of the stick. -

Two weeks worth of trash have not been picked up on Merriam Pkwy. the whole street 4 houses.
reporting system is useless, because when problem is resolved it does not erase the issue from the system.
