I was almost run over by a car blasting through this intersection at 45 mph+, completely oblivious to pedestrians already in the middle of the crosswalk/railroad crossing. Long-time residents and businesses on Lake Street have submitted multiple police reports and traffic calming requests to the City over the last decade as traffic and reckless driving on Lake Street have significantly increased each year. This report is no doubt a duplicate of a half-dozen others about this same intersection that have been ignored, archived, and deliberately forgotten about. Is it really going to take a pedestrian, child, bicyclist, skateboarder, and/or pet to be run over and killed before the City will do anything?

Sweeping Needed Acknowledged216 Lake St Burlington, VT 05401, USA - Burlington ElectricA couple months ago now (?), DPW was working on a culvert at the bottom of Depot Street and had a huge pile of gravel for their project in the road. It seems they gave up on that project and, without the landowner's permission, pushed their huge pile of gravel onto 216 Lake Street private property. After several big storms...that pile of gravel is now washing into the street, creating a hazard. Please remove your gravel from our private property and the middle of the street. Thanks.

Parks Department issue Archived91-99 Penny Ln Burlington, VT, 05401, USA - Burlington ElectricElectric bicycle kiosk alarm going off at 1245AM and waking up/disturbing the entire Waterfront Park neighborhood. I called the Burlington Police Department and was told this was the 2nd complaint they'd received about it, they'd left a message with the out-of-state company that owns the kiosks but hadn't gotten a response. Are you F****** kidding me?? I got out of bed to mess with this for 20 minutes at 1245AM and couldn't get it to shut off. There were two BPD patrol cars next to me, pretty sure they already tried and were laughing at me. Whoever approved this contract should lose their job!!! Unacceptable, unbelievable greed and incompetence runs this City!! Shame!!!
