Better Corona

The on ramp area of McKinley 91 WB is in need of clearing. Weeds are not landscaping. From the entrance of the on ramp and along the 91 WB to approximately the 15 interchange is a mess. If this is handled by CalTrans, why do we receive second class citizen status compared to Orange County areas? I drive miles and miles in that area and it's beautifully maintained, but cross into Riverside and it's slum. Please fight for our area and let's get it cleaned up. Thank you.

The transient encampment (enclosure by the softball fields) that was reported several weeks ago has not been cleared out. There is a BBQ, make shift tent, and other debris. Please clear this area and offer services or move them along. Thank you.

The image used was from 11/2018 yet it could have been from today. Same white truck is still living at the park, along with the creeper van and additional transients that now have taken up residence as well. I found this old SeeClickFix by googling "homeless at Promenade Park". What a shame for the residents who have tried so hard to clean up the area to no avail. The standard response of "We'll send out the HOPE team" is not working. Not only has the situation not improved, it's worse. When will it be addressed?

Due to heavy traffic volume from Promenade Park and nearby Promenade Elementary, in addition to the area being densely populated, traffic backs up on SB Richey from cars making left and right turns onto Promenade. Currently, cars park right up to the intersection making it impossible for cars to make right turns without waiting for all of the left turn traffic. If the curb could be painted red 50'-100' on SB Richey starting at the intersection of Promenade and Richey, I think it would alleviate the problem, as well as make it easier to see all the crosswalk traffic. Once again, the Marquessa and Deerwood Apartment landscape crew has blown all the trash and clippings into the gutter of SB Richey from Benidorm to Promenade. If you can't make the property management clean up their mess, please send a city crew to clear the build up in the gutter. This is an ongoing issue. Thank you for your attention to the matter.

Why are there so many accidents at Griffin and McKinley? Is the timing off on the lights? Are people running red lights? It does take quite a while to get through all of the intersections on McKinley from Mt Humphries to the 91 and I do see people running red lights every day. Can these intersections be photo enforced? Please increase patrolling in the very busy area of Corona. Thank you.

Deerwood and Marquessa apartments are not keeping the parkway and curb on S/B Richey (across from Promenade Park) clean. There is what appears to be a car bumper and miscellaneous trash that needs to be cleaned up to preserve the appearance of the neighborhood. Thanks

Graffiti on utility boxes on E/B Promenade west of McKinley between Collete and McKinley south side of the street

There is so much trash along the shoulder and banks of the 91 WB from Pierce to the North McKinley offramp extending to North McKinley. The amount of litter is disgusting. There are also orange trash bags that have been on the side of the freeway for weeks. I don't know who is responsible for the area, but it needs to be addressed. If it is COC, please take care of ASAP. If it is CalTrans, could a city official please take this up with CalTrans. It is unacceptable. Thank you

Marquessa/Deerwood apartments (same owner) gardeners are blowing clippings and trash into the gutter on Richey the entire length of their properties. I have called the leasing manager multiple times regarding this issue. It is really a mess, and trash is piled up as high as the curb in areas. Could code enforcement please speak to their management and explain that parkway maintenance is their responsibility and blowing it into the street is unacceptable. FYI the gardeners are there on Wednesdays. Thank you.

The utility company patched the sidewalk with asphalt instead of the concrete they removed. It looks terrible. Did they figure,”It’s Corona so it’s okay”? Please make them do a proper replacement. Thank you

This car is parked completely blocking the handicap access to the sidewalk. This is an increasing issue along Mount Humphries, Maryhelen and Richey. Please patrol and ticket the violators. Not fair for the handicapped. Thanks

Another 18 wheeler parked illegally on Richey. Had to travel across Mount Humphries to get there and that’s illegal as well. Thanks for your continued efforts.
