    Street light at
    Peasley Canton Rd S & S 321st as of about 3 weeks ago now does not seem to change/detect cars approaching the intersection from S 321st st in the morning (around 5am) so much so that it's causing people to run a stale red. (Or turn right and U-turn)
    Both Auburn and Federal Way websites says that intersection is out of their zone, not sure what that is about.
    But the street light has definitely either been changed for the worse or is plainly malfunctioning in those early hours.
    It usually takes minutes to detect a car, and if it does the cross walk timer is about about 20 seconds. Super long when the cross traffic is nearly non existent at that hour. Either sensor in ground needs replaced or the timer tweaked. (3 weeks or so ago this light seemed to function normally).
    Causing safety issues.

    Per email:

    I have submitted a request with PSE in regards to a street light being blocked by shrubs (trees) in which is providing an unsafe environment as it gets dark.
    PSE has informed me that because it has to deal with shrubs (tree) that it falls on the city to maintain the area of said street lights.
    We had 2 lights, 1 in which PSE has removed totally and the other one is blocked by tree.
    Again this creates an unsafe area at night as the light doesn’t provide adequate lighting.
    If someone can please come out and take a look at this situation it would be very much appreciated.

    The right lane heading East on 288th St was recently changed to a right turn only lane. This has led to a lot of congestion in the left lane. This makes it unsafe to enter and exit our neighborhood on 23rd Pl S. When driving west on 288th you must make a left turn to enter the neighborhood, across two lanes of traffic. The first lane full of cars because it is now the only thru lane at the light, and the second lane that you can not see to judge traffic for the turn because the view is blocked by a line of cars. The cars in this hidden lane are moving fast and impossible to see coming. Every left turn is a gamble! I live near this intersection and I have seen many accidents since this change has taken place. I have also made that turn and have had a couple of close calls. This is not a safe intersection. It is unsafe for the East bound 288th driver who would not see a person turning do to traffic in the east bound left lane, or the westbound driver turning left onto 23rd Pl S.
