    Another day, another driver who almost hit me while in the MIDDLE of the crosswalk... as I'm already halfway across. It happened on the way to work, and again on my walk home today. Can something please be done? Flashing yellow pedestrian lights, maybe?

    Charter St & Hawthorne Blvd Salem, MA, 01970, USA - City of Salem
    The crosswalk that goes across Hawthorne Blvd and leads to Charter St, right by Salem Housing Authority's main offices, is incredibly dangerous. I cross this crosswalk every weekday to get to work and drivers stop roughly 40% of the time... almost getting hit is a weekly occurrence. Drivers don't seem to care that pedestrians have the right away, especially when they see a green light in the distance. The cars come so close I can touch them. God forbid one day I won't be so lucky. Is there something that can be done?
