The trees at the intersection of Speen Street South and Natick Mall road need to be removed. This is already a dangerous intersection especially with drivers unfamiliar with it. Today, I was driving south on Speen street and had a green signal at the Natick Mall road intersection. Somehow, a car to my left drove right through the red light almost causing a serious collision. Due to the presence of the trees I was unable to see the car until it was almost hitting me. Without emergency braking and maneuvers this could have been a much different story.
A very similar situation happened to me in the exact same location a few years ago as a confused driver drove through the same red light. In this case, the offending car was at least 100 feet in front of me so nothing bad occurred. I will repeat the trees here provide nothing positive other than constricting the views of drivers.
