There is a dying tree in front of the Mercantile on Morris building in between 2201 1st Avenue and 2223 1st Avenue. When this was reported earlier this year the city said that nothing could be done about it because there was a dumpster on the street that was in the way. As of Sunday 9/25/2022, there is no longer a dumpster on the street and the city should be able to remove this tree now. If you look at the photo you can see the tree is filled with mistletoe and it has gotten worse since this photo was taken earlier this year. The tree appears to be completely dead now which is not only an eyesore but a hazard since it is over the public sidewalk.
