The scratch you put in the new asphalt did almost nothing to fix the problem (I did not see any watermarks when it was done to test if the small groove did anything). Anyway, I made a drain path through the leaves and still the water is about 16" wide across the entire driveway, above the joint. The water will freeze into and between the layers and in addition to not draining, it will make a ring of ice (what happens when you drive through ice-over-water) that collects more water, and will separate the asphalt and grow a pothole. It needs a serious drain groove as I said before.

Prior report was not addressed. Nothing Done. This water will freeze and thaw and freeze, etc and turn into an ice ring across driveway the way it was 10 years ago before the new road was put in. I mentioned this right after the top repaving when it could have been addressed as the asphalt was still soft. All you had to do was put a small groove into the soft asphalt to the nearby drain.

Before paving, Fred noticed a small amount of 'ponding' at one side of the road where it meets my driveway. I spoke with him about my concerns about water drainage, but since the repaving, water ponds across the entire width of my driveway and does not completely drain into the drain 4' away. The problem is worse X8.

IMMEDIATE: Worried that raising road will direct more rain water down my driveway (when road drain cannot handle run-off). Previously, when drain failed (e.g. during water main break, downpour, etc.), water flowed down my driveway. When N. Spring was re-graded and paved, the road in front of my driveway was raised at least 6" (I lost 1 step on my frontage), and I was able to talk GS to also raise my driveway connection. Important that road and drain level NOT BE RAISED any more, otherwise GS will need to re-set my granite and again raise my driveway connection. Thank you
