There are no signs that repairs have begun, & now there is a bubbling stream of water coming out from under the road in front of my house. Last night there were places that water was bubbling(projecting) up about 2-inch high from beneath the road. There is now a large stream of continuous water flow, several feet wide, from in from of my house. The water travels down the street. Debris is able to be carried away in the stream. This will like be the 5th or 6th time I have requested service for the same thing since I lived at my home back in 2003. You can see several patches up & down Westheimer where a mill & fill occurred to the road (patching) from previous attempts to repair the leak. Because of the underground over-irrigation, my yard is often sopping wet, the water utility box has standing water inside of it, my underground sprinkler valves also has standing water. The front section of my yard has still not regrown my St. Austine grass from the last dig that was performed in my yard IN AN ATTEMPT for the City to avoid a major street repair. Instead of grass, the City dumps cheap field dirt to fill in the hole they create every time this happens. My sprinkler head gets broken each time they dig in my yard. The field dirt makes it easy to see the water leak was never fully repaired from the previous repair. However, now the road has water coming up from it starting at the curb & extending over the center line. When I submitted this request last week, someone did come out & mark the road (I believe) that same night within the hour. It was after dark. I keep expecting to see flags for a line locate to be set out, indicating that the City is preparing to fix the broken pipe. I even file complaints now with my name on them, because over the previous years if I file anonymous then the repair rarely occurred. I understand the City is prioritizing repairs, & I have zero knowledge of the logistics behind that. If someone could please come look at the stream before fish arrive & start living there in the spring, that would be fantastic. Although, if fish arrive, would I need a fishing license if I am fishing from my curb within City limits? This might work put! I'm not mad at all. I am a State employee, & so I get how overworked government jobs are. I am a bit deathly afraid of dying in a sinkhole that swallow my house, & the older I get the greater this ridiculous fear gets bigger. I will try to take a picture again at lunch, but a video would do more justice to the Westheimer River.
