Street Lamp W archiwum999 Forest Rd New Haven, CT, 06515, USA - WestvilleFOURTH REQUEST. Street lamp not operational for months! Each of the previous THREE times the outage has been posted (March, May, June) the city has responded that a crew has investigated and repaired the lamp, but the lamp has not been on at night--at all--in months, so something is going wrong on the repair crew end! It's a dark stretch of high-speed road, on a curve--please fix!

Tree Trimming W archiwumEdgewood Ave & Forest Rd New Haven, CT, 06515, USA - WestvilleWestbound (uphill) direction on Edgewood: Tree branches completely obscure the sensor that detects cars waiting for the light to change. Signal once was once very responsive, but now does not react to westbound traffic waiting (and waiting) at the light). This is dangerous because it tempts drivers to make unsafe turns or dashes across on a red light, unwise moves further complicated by the facts that there are not good sight lines and the Forest Rd. cross traffic is moving fast. Please trim the tree so that the sensor works again!

After request for repair in March, light was reported repaired today (May 20) but if so, repair was unsuccessful. It is now dark, other street lights are on, and this light is not. Dangerous road--please fix! Thank you.

Public Space, Streets and Drains Otwarte999 Forest Road New Haven, Connecticut - WestvilleSevere flooding at this site in nearly all rainstorms. Very dangerous road conditions. Severe damage to downhill private properties. State of CT needs to upgrade too-small 100+ year old stormwater system and in the meantime keep drain system free of debris. State and city need to close road or limit access between Edgewood and Chapel in any significant rainfall.

Signs / Bus Shelters / Pavement Markings W archiwum785 Forest Rd New Haven, Connecticut - WestvilleRoad Curves, speed limit etc. signs were knocked down in a car crash and have not been repaired/replaced for weeks. Given the crash damage, obviously, there's a need. This is CT-122 N so may also/instead be a CT DOT issue.

Stop sign obscured W archiwumAnthony And Fairfield Sts. New Haven, CT - AmityCan't see stopsign at Anthony St. heading west on Fairfield St. In fact, can't see a number of the stopsigns on Fairfield, heading west.

Clogged storm drains/road flooding W archiwum986-999 Forest Rd. New Haven, CT - WestvilleStorm drains on the E and W side of Forest Rd. are clogged with silt. This is a state highway (CT-122) and so probably a CT-DOT issue. The road floods badly in heavy rain; drains are due for a cleaning.

hole in pavement w/underlying erosion W archiwum999 Forest Rd New Haven, CT 06515, USA - WestvilleOn northbound Forest Rd./Rte. 122 there is a small depression and hole in the asphalt near the two manholes. Traffic is heavy enough that I can't get very close but I can see some air space immediately under the hole. Looks like a potential sinkhole.

noise ordinance infraction W archiwum986 Forest Rd. New Haven, CT 06515, USA - WestvilleHopkins School is performing early morning (roughly 7 a.m.) chainsawing of large trees. City noise ordinances prevent such activity until 8 a.m. at the earliest.

Severe flooding in storms W archiwum986 Forest Rd New Haven, CT 06515 - WestvilleBusy, heavily traveled road (still) floods severely in moderate to heavy rainstorms, resulting in dangerous traffic and driving, as well as flooding of neighboring properties. Recent work by DOT on/near the drains at the base of Hopkins' driveway have helped; road no longer floods in minor rainstorms. Still a problem, though, in moderate to heavy rain.

Flooding W archiwum986 Forest Rd New Haven, CT 06515 - WestvilleSevere flooding in front of Hopkins School whenever there is heavy rain. This causes traffic problems: stalled out cars in the middle of the road, people driving on the wrong side of the road--and this is a very busy, curvy, dark street. It also causes damage to our driveway and ours and neighbors' garages when the water overflows the street and runs downhill alongside our house. Rte. 122/Forest is a state road; the state DOT needs to be involved. From previous complaints I've learned the drainpipe for the road is supposed to be insufficient. However, the three streetside drains at the base of Hopkins' driveway (2 on W, 1 on E of Forest)never drain well, even after cleaning, which is also contributes.
