Illegal parking has always been a problem on this stretch of Whitehaven, but since there's been construction at the Islamic Center, it's frequently completely blocked--particularly on Friday afternoons. People are often forced to back up onto Massachusetts or turn around and go the wrong way down the one-way because there's no other way to escape.
Enforcement of yellow-curb parking needs to be stepped up, particularly on Friday afternoons; at the very least, the contractor needs to be warned about blocking the road entirely. If none of those are possible, then it needs to be blocked at the top when the road is impassible, to prevent drivers from inadvertently getting stuck--or performing illegal and dangerous maneuvers to get off the blocked one-way.
