  • Creedmoor Rd Raleigh, NC, 27612, USA - Northwest
Two large metal frames that had glass in them (now broken) have been in the road for two weeks-ish. When you turn left onto Creedmoor from Millbrook, they are in the right of way slightly off to the left.
  • 4533-4683 Duraleigh Road Raleigh, North Carolina - Northwest
One of many such reports, I'm sure - just making you aware of a large downed tree blocking the sidewalk (but not the road) on Duraleigh, opposite Weaver.
  • Weaver And Duraleigh Raleigh, North Carolina - Northwest
Looks like the Weaver x Duraleigh street sign was hit last night. It's lying on the grass all crushed up.
  • 6740 Fleetwood Drive Raleigh, North Carolina - Northwest
My request is that the proper department at the City check the National Pawn sign that faces Glenwood at night to see if it is legal. It is far far brighter than any sign anywhere in the city- you can not only see it far up Glenwood when driving southeast at night, but it's so bright that it's dangerous. It's glaring and blue-white and blindingly bright. I want to know if there are limits to how bright a business's sign can be and if this one exceeds the limits. It truly needs to be seen at night and the danger is obvious.
  • 8000 Winchester Raleigh, North Carolina - Northwest
As you travel southeast on Glenwood, before you see Capel Rugs on your right, you will see a long and very deep sinkhole/ eroded area. It is dangerous because there is no shoulder there and if a car drifted even one inch off the road, it would be a big wreck. Please fill the area with dirt or if erosion and sinkholes are common here, concrete or asphalt. Thank you!

1400 W Millbrook Rd Raleigh, North Carolina - Six Forks
Heading west on Millbrook toward Sertoma Arts Center, there are two extremely large potholes. The one in the right lane is deep enough to damage a car and there is also an area on half of it that is all built up with asphalt in a strange way. Just ahead of that in the left lane, there is a large but slightly less deep pothole. This is about two blocks before the entrance to Sertoma Arts Center.
  • 6520 Falls Of Neuse Road Raleigh, North Carolina - Raleigh Council District A
There is a trashed bike, spray painted orange, that has been chained to this sign for a week or so now.
  • 101-199 East Millbrook Road Raleigh, North Carolina - Six Forks Corridor
There are dozens of handmade "Angie Buys Houses" and "Kevin Buys Houses" signs posted in the ground at intersections and on phone poles all up and down Duraleigh/ Millbrook. I believe there is an ordinance against this. (Number on this sign is 919-759-5500 and is associated with Angie Heidmann,Border Pl, Goldsboro, North Carolina 919-759-5679 ...... 919-759-5500 or Angie Curran, Red Tip Ln, Goldsboro North Carolina ...... 919-759-5500)
  • 5704 Kirkwood Park Raleigh, North Carolina - Raleigh Council District A
Reported this a few weeks ago. Volunteers picked up trash but left orange bags all up and down Millbrook for weeks. 4 bags still remain. One pair at Millbrook x Kirkwood Park. One pair at Millbrook x Twickenham Court (near Pickwick). Thank you for removing these.
  • 6457 Sandy Forks Road Raleigh, North Carolina - Raleigh Council District A
Sandy Forks Road is quite narrow on this stretch. Yet, there are frequently pedestrians on it - even moms with strollers - due to its proximity to apartment complexes. There is no sidewalk and no shoulder. There is vegetation encroaching onto the right of way, which makes the pedestrians walk even farther into the road. I worry that someone will be injured. If the vegetation is properly cleared away from the road, at least there will be adequate visibility for drivers and a tiny bit of shoulder for the pedestrians.
  • 5900 Timber Creek Raleigh, North Carolina - Northwest

When driving west on W. Millbrook, there is an exit from Timbers Apartments on the left. Residents frequently do these two things during heavy 5 PM traffic and there are frequent accidents and near misses at the Millbrook x Timber Creek intersection because of it.

    1) They get in the eastbound right turn lane (marked with a yellow star in the picture) going the wrong way and trying to turn left into Timbers. By the way, during rush hour, this lane is almost always backed up past the entrance to the Timbers, so it creates a standstill.
    2) They come to a full stop in the westbound lane (blue star in the picture), waiting for the eastbound turn lane to clear so they can turn into Timbers. They come to a full and unexpected stop during rush hour on a 45 mph road. It's no wonder there are wrecks.

I am also attempting to contact Timbers management to get them to communicate regarding this issue to their residents, but in the meantime, I believe DOT or police should evaluate. Whether there needs to be additional painting in the eastbound turn lane that makes it clear it's not a left-into-Timbers lane, or a sign, or additional police monitoring during rush hour, I'm not sure. But the problem occurs there daily. An officer in an unmarked car could sit there from 5:15 until 5:45 and probably witness a fender bender, several near misses, and a lot of flustered honking and confusion.

I really can't see how this apartment complex was not required to provide an additional entrance or notify their residents to U turn and take a right into the complex instead of causing traffic jams and wrecks.

  • 3635 West Millbrook Road Raleigh, North Carolina - Northwest
About 3 weeks ago, a group of teenagers in orange vests was picking up trash all along Millbrook. They placed purple balloons along a street sign and I assumed they were cleaning in honor of someone. That was wonderful. However, they left dozens of orange trash bags all up and down Millbrook by street signs, bus stops, etc. I'm wondering if there are plans for these to be removed.
  • 6300-6372 West Millbrook Road Raleigh, North Carolina - Northwest
For about 2 blocks East and 2 blocks West of Winthrop Dr on Millbrook, there are broken/ storm-damaged shrubs and trees from the median in the road. It is causing people to swerve into the next lane.
  • Street Light Archived
North Hills Drive Raleigh, North Carolina - Six Forks

On Millbrook, nearly all the street lights on the right side between Six Forks and North Hills Drive are out (on the right if you're driving from Six Forks toward North Hills). Only one is functioning. I'm unable to provide you pole numbers on a busy street with multiple lights out.

Keep driving and there are 3 more lights out on the right across from Wooten Meadows Park. Basically, about 1/3 of the street lights on Millbrook between Six Forks and Glenwood are out.

  • 3497-3499 West Millbrook Road Raleigh, North Carolina - Northwest

Running red lights is ridiculously rampant. It happens every day at every light. I am requesting that enforcement be made more of a priority. Specifically, I would request that an UNMARKED police vehicle be posted at the Millbrook x Glenwood intersection. There are 3 left turn lanes and multiple vehicles blow through the red long after it turns red daily, especially at rush hour.

I reported this before and a marked police vehicle was sent, so of course more people played by the rules. Until the police car was gone.

It's so bad that even for drivers on the other side of the street, you can to wait about 10 seconds after the light is green to start going (in the straight lane on Millbrook) because so many cars are just blatantly running the red and turning left on red anyway. It is unsafe.

  • Loft Raleigh, North Carolina - Six Forks Corridor
I believe this location could really use a "DO NOT BLOCK INTERSECTION" sign. Every day during the 5 PM rush hour, cars back up at the Millbrook light and block this road. The cars trying to turn left into it have to sit in the turn lane and sometimes back up far enough that they cause near misses in the Northbound lanes.
  • Falls Of Neuse Rd Raleigh, NC - Raleigh Council District A
On Falls of Neuse, traveling from Spring Forest toward Newton, there are two rather deep potholes. These are in front of the Auto Zone and are in the left lane (closest to the turn lane).
  • W Millbrook Rd Raleigh, NC - Raleigh Council District A
I normally report pole #s directly to progress energy via their report site at https://www.progress-energy.com/app/StreetlightRepair/default.aspx. However, there are many lights out along Falls of Neuse, Six Forks, and Millbrook. I don't want to get out of my car at night on a busy street to get the pole number. Does Progress Energy monitor or check the lights? I know in Knightdale, the police department reports lights. Is there anything like that happening in Raleigh, or is it just up to citizens to get the numbers? I ask because many of these lights have been out for months. Thank you for your time.
  • 5236 Hollyridge Dr Raleigh, NC - Northwest
When turning out of either exit from the Firestone on Hollyridge @ Glenwood, the junipers are so tall, you can't see more than one or two vehicle's distance. Very dangerous.
  • Hollyridge Dr Raleigh, NC - Northwest
When turning right onto Glenwood from the Firestone on Holly Ridge, the red light signal is burnt out. The green is working.
