A One Way sign was installed at the north west corner of this intersection (on the block with CVS). It was posted too close to the pedestrian signal. The One Way sign blocks the view of the walk/don't walk signal from the opposite corner. A walker needs to step into the street to see the signal. The One Way sign could be moved about 3 feet to the left, while facing the pedestrian signal, to fix the problem.

The ramp linking Norman Berry Drive and West Forrest Street are in need of attention. Leaves and other debris will clog the storm drains and be trouble if heavy rain appears.

As some point, a street lamp was replaced. The discarded pole was left on the side of the street in the grass. There must be a better way to dispose of this material. It was spotted west of Main Street, between St. Michael Avenue and Knotts Avenue.

Weeks ago, large shade trees on Jefferson Terrace between Jefferson Avenue and Winburn Avenue were cut by the City of East Point. However, the stumps remain in the ground.
The removal took place weeks ago. I have not seen any movement to also remove the large, unslightly stumps.

    1) When will those stumps be removed?
    2) Will new trees be planted?
    3) Will the area be landscaped to improve its appearance?

The traffic light at this intersection for traffic southbound on Main Street seems timed too short. I saw it turn from green to red with only time for three cars to pass through the intersection when there were more cars in stuck at the light.
    Thanks.

Behind the new City of East Point City Hall, there are many - may be as many as a dozen - trees that were not planted. I have seen them in the parking lot for about a month.

I hope something is done to use them before they die from lack of care. They look like the cost a few hundred dollars a piece.
Will they be planted in a city park or somewhere else?
Can they be sold to residents?

I don't want city tax money to go to waste.

I run at 6 a.m. along Main Street. For the past week, the street lamps along this long stretch of the road have been off. I am used to one or two lights to be dark, but this seems to be an usually large number of street lamps not working.

The stretch of road from Cleveland and Main streets to the library is dark. The sidewalk is broken and uneven. The combination makes it an unsafe place to walk.

Debris from the Irma storm. Is this too big to be picked up?

Is this the best the leaf truck can do? I collected the leaves and left them as instructed and this is what I find. The city can do better.

It has been weeks since the leaf vacuum truck has picked up leaves here. Falling in the street.
