Is traffic signal does not allow pedestrians across. After a long wait, a large group of pedestrians just crossed. This should prioritize pedestrian crossing during events at Thompson’s point

This signal needs to be reprogrammed with pedestrians in mind. It can be a long wait for a walk signal and it doesn’t always give a walk signal when it seems safe to do so (no green arrow). This is THE major route for pedestrians to get from Munjoy Hill to downtown. It needs to be programmed in a way to prioritize pedestrians.

Since the food trucks have become a beloved part of the Eastern Prom, let’s put in the infrastructure necessary to make them more environmentally friendly. It is crazy that they are running on generators, which are loud and inefficient. There should be suitable outlets installed and all trucks should be required to hook up to the outlets or use a battery. Let’s start working on the now so that it can be a requirement for next spring.
