    The traffic lights on the O'Brien highway are timed very poorly so that if you get through the light at O'Brien and Land Blvd., there is a very good chance you won't get very far due to the light a mere few yards away at Museum Way. Therefore there ends up being gridlock on Land Blvd for those traveling towards Charlestown. The lights need to be timed better so that when the O'Brien/Land light turns green so does the O'Brien/Museum light so cars can travel freely and not block the intersection.

    The intersection of Mass Ave and Alewife Brook Parkway needs serious help. The problem is that the traffic coming from Arlington on Mass Ave is using 2 lanes, but then crossing the intersection into Cambridge they have to go down to 1 lane because of the bus lane that has been installed. People are therefore constantly gridlocking the intersection so that those turning onto Alewife Brook Parkway to go to Route 2 cannot make the turn. The bus lane has caused more traffic issues than I can count, but this is a particularly egregious one since there is no coordination with Arlington. It's like you have a road all of a sudden hits a brick wall when it enters another town.
