The yard on this property is kind of a mess. The hedges are always so overgrown I have to walk in the street to get by with a stroller. Can you ask them to trim them?

This car has no resident parking permit. The owner left it up the block throughout the parking ban, so a big chunk of the street never got plowed. Of course the city did nothing. Then it was dug out, and is occupying a space that was plowed. Really inconsiderate!

Would it be possible for a plow top come and clean to the curb? A car with no parking permit was parked here for several days, and prevented plowing. Now 4 houses, from 17 to 31 Woodland can't park on this side of the street.
    Please help!

Will it never end? The liquor store owner constantly has SOMETHING unsightly going on with this property. We have been patient for 10 months, waiting for him to remove the junked Snapple cooler from his yard, and the broken television from his front porch. Can the city please tell him to ALWAYS pick up his litter, ALWAYS keep his grass trimmed and NEVER accumulate junk and refuse in his yard? Just tell him to STOP!!!! Tell him to stop, please! Our neighborhood is NOT a junkyard!

The car with NY plates that was illegally parked two weeks ago and kept the school bus full of kids from turning the corner is still constantly parking around Zone 7. Today it is 122 Mansfield. I took this picture when I heard the honking last week. Later a gentleman came down and moved it, but not before he yelled and cursed at my neighbor who was telling him he shouldn't be parking in a no-parking zone.

and there is almost zero attempt to enforce the rules. shameful and lazy performance from the city. Yale construction workers, residents cheating with visitor tags, taking up spaces whole residents who pay their vehicle taxes can't park. The city is a disaster.

The homeowner who had the handicapped sign sold the house on 01/09/2018 (book and pg. no. 9666/ 307).
How much time has to go by before the city removes the two screws that hold the handicapped sign on? This is the third notification. We need to be able to park!

Blight, blight, blight. The lot in back of the liquor store is never kept clean. The owners just walk through the litter week after week, but never pick it up. Construction debris has been piled up for more than a year, weeds are never removed, and discarded food scraps (a whole loaf of bread????) are scattered around on the ground. This is an ongoing problem for years. Why is the city powerless to make people keep their property clean?

Red jeep with no permit parks every day for months. Black pickup truck with no permit parks every day for maybe a year.
Why is enforcement so bad in this neighborhood?
  • 68 Mansfield Street New Haven, CT - Dixwell
White work van still parking every day using Zone 7 visitor tags in front of 68 Mansfield. We are not quite sure why the city can't enforce residential parking rules, especially when there are so many complaints. Maybe it's time to come up with a system that works?
  • 35 Woodland Street New Haven, Connecticut - Dixwell
Why do some people not have to follow the parking ban? Will the city ever ticket the cars that don't follow the residential parking ban. We don't understand why there are cars parked on the even side of Woodland Street today, and we all have to scramble to move our cars. Now the plows will leave huge drifts of snow as they drive around these cars, making it harder for everybody. New Haven needs to be more consistent.

Garbage from the construction being done on the house at 41 Woodland Street has been left in the front yard for almost 2 months. That is very rude to the rest of us who want to live in a clean neighborhood.
