Uneven sidewalk Open31-33 Mott St Arlington, Massachusetts - ArlingtonA recent tear down replaced with a yellow townhouse, left the intersection of the sunken driveway and the sidewalk dangerous for pedestrians, especially if you're in a wheelchair or walking on ice. The sidewalk was dug out for the driveway such that the elevation as you're walking past the house goes down 2 plus feet! Also the sidewalk isn't flat like the rest of Arlington it has the same slopes as the driveway. The sidewalk needs to be on the same elevation as it is on either side of the lot and be flat, not tilting some 20 degrees down the driveway. All the other identical townhouses of this kind on Mott and Dorothy have a safe sidewalk. Why not here? Also since the sidewalk is not slightly raised from the street any street flooding will drain right into their basement.

Minuteman Commuter Bikeway Arlington, Massachusetts - ArlingtonThe Thorndike Field parking lot floods during and after heavy rain where the parking lot connects to the bikepath and Varnum St. Either installing an extra drain basin at that location or installing the same drainage solution already installed at the end of the parking lot. This solution includes digging down several feet, filling with stone and capped off with a plastic grid, allowing the water to naturally seep into the ground.

Alewife Linear Path Cambridge, Massachusetts - North CambridgeCyclists, pedestrians and runners coming from Alewife station passing under the Alewife Brook Parkway towards the football field can be blind sided by the same type of traffic coming from the sidewalk running parallel to Alewife Brook Parkway. Perhaps a bike stop sign or line on the pavement or a caution sign would help.
