    It’s been over a year that 59th/ Forest at Claremont and other North Oakland streets have been closed to vehicles.
    Now is the time to open them up before someone gets hurt.
    Here’s why:

    Traffic has increased in the last few months with more people working outside their home.
    You know BART and transit travel are still down.
    Last year Fewer vehicles were on the road at this time.

    Drivers from Telegraph Ave trying to get to Claremont Ave and beyond are funneled onto 58th St then Martin St.

    It is a dangerous turn Left onto Claremont and risky turning Right due to the speeding vehicles headed South towards HWY 24.

    Daylight Saving Time ends November 7th and change in weather
    More traffic + less visibility + faster speeds = more accidents

    PLEASE open up 59th st/Howell/Ayala/ Forest so that vehicles can safely cross or enter Claremont Ave at the signal as Forest/Colby/Claremont.
