Basketball hoop system orginally brought up as an issue on 5/14/2019 and again on 6/1/2019. It was stated that an officer requested the homeowner to move the system and that it would be rechecked that it was done. Nothing was ever done just a white van had been always parked on the street upon the approach to it during the night hours. Obviously no van now.
Two days in a row this is what drivers are facing driving down Stony Brook Road. An unexpected item which has no reflectors to be easily seen upon approaching it to avoid hitting it and damaging the vehicle being driven. A cyclist could potentially have the same outcomes also...This is a safety concern. All other basketball hoop systems have been placed on the grass portion of homeowners properties yet the first four feet is technically town owned property also.
Could you have this concern rechecked and taken care of again.
    Thank you

There are several tree branches that have begun to hang lower. One branch appears to have been broken. Possibly from a truck traveling here. The tree branches are located on the North Street side of this corner property. They might need trimming to lift up the canopy.
    Thank you

Previously reported on 05/14/2019. Basketball hoop system is set up on the street near the curb. It was said that an officer would go out. Has this been done yet? This is an obstacle in the street hindering safe traffic flow for traveling vehicles.

Following a tractor trailer traveling west bound today on North Street (North Maple Street to Elm Street) there is a large tree branch as you approach Misty Meadow which when the tractor trailer went under brought up a concern that I noticed. The height of the trailer verses the height of the branch.
There was not that much space between the top of the trailer and the tree branch that was hanging over the street.
The branch may need to be trimmed back to allow safer flow for tractor trailers and large truck traffic that use this road.
Could someone please check this out?

BasketBall Hoop System is set up and located on the street in front of this property. There is a great possibility that a vehicle traveling down this road will hit it and damage their vehicle. Other systems throughout town are placed on the grass at the curb area. Please address this as I am sure that the van parked on the street on the side of the basketball hoop is not permanently parked there...

Pole located on Park Street at this location was not properly replaced after an accident several weeks ago.Two support rods does not correct the problem. The top wires may be the only things that are just waiting to sway in the winter winds and tear the pole off to have it sway in the wind. The pole needs to be replaced and lines and streetlight need to be transferred to the new pole. The type of fix it has now is unacceptable from Eversource...

A basketball hoop system is set up on the street at this street location. Due to the possibility of a vehicle hitting it while driving along this area the hoop should be moved to the other side of the curb and off the street.
And since it is that time of year would it be posssible to remind residents that basketball hoop systems are not to be placed on the street throughout town? Maybe some notices in the newspapers and on the town web site might help...

Why have all of these lights not been changed over to the new led lighting. It has been some time since it was reported that they were going to be changed. And there is no power issues with the lighting on this street because they all are in working mode and come on at night...

A new owner to this property has made very nice improvements to the house but my question is - does this property have a permit for a business to operate on it? It it zoned for operating other than farm land? Is there a permit to allow for parking a large amount of dump trucks and construction size dump trailers here? It seems these which have been located on and have come from 132 Moody Road originallyof these trucks parked and operating in and out of 117 North Street for months now. I believe a large area was clear cut of trees to open up an area for even more construction size trucks to park out of site to the right of the barns. Now if this property is farm land these definitely are not farm vehicles pertaining to this property. Something more than meets the eye is going on and if there are proper permits and zoning then that is fine. But a health issue also is when these trucks are sitting there idling, the exhaust is terrible in the area driving by on North Street. Industrial city. Imagine the people who might have breathing problems or could develop them from this activity...

A large orange state posted construction liability ahead sign is still posted in this location of Hazard Avenue and Holiday Lane. The project in the vicinity of Powder Hollow Brewery and the clearing of the dam is completed with all of the Jersey barriers and signage removed. It seems that this sign was forgotten about and should be removed since there is no construction ahead any more.

Vehicle parked (for sale) on Grand near North Street just about 5 feet from the stop sign mostly on the grass area.
    CT, 101NGZ, Dodge Caravan blue
Where it is parked impedes the sight lines and safe flow and stopping at the stop sign of traffic for drivers who are coming out of Grand and turning onto North Street at this location. Can the vehicle be moved to a safer location?
