This is issue has been repeated closed, as the "intersection works fine." How is it that at 3:30, on a Thursday afternoon, and I'm the THIRD CAR IN LINE TO TURN LEFT AND IT TAKES TWO LIGHT CYCLES TO BE ABLE TO DO THAT!! IS THIS AN INTERSECTION THAT IS WORKING PROPERLY?!?!? PUT THE LEFT TURN SIGNAL BACK IN!!!

We struggled with DeKalb County to get this left turn signal put in and then the City of Dunwoody took it out. They have close this issue, improperly, citing a traffic analysis as indicating no need for this turn arrow. Well, if getting one car turned out of the Publix parking lot, with a second one having to run the red light is a properly operating intersection, I would believe this to be disingenuous. By the way, it was 4PM, on a Wednesday, so not a particularly high traffic time. This issue needs to be reopened and corrected. What if the community generates a petition about this? How many signatures would be required? Can't the Publix management assist with this?.

The design of the intersection used to be excellent. Left turn arrow coming out of Publix AND on DVP, the left lane was for straight and left turn and the right lane was right turn only.

Now, with no left turn arrow out of Publix, it is incredibly dangerous at high traffic times and only barely works well at low volume times. Many times you have to run the red light getting out of Publix or you will have to wait 2-3 VERY LONG light cycles to be able to turn left from Publix.

In the other direction, most traffic will turn right or go straight. By making the right lane straight AND right turning, this backs up in a long line, under most traffic scenarios. In the old days, this intersection worked very well and now it doesn't.

In fact, by jamming up the right hand lane with straight and right turning traffic, the turning left out of Publix, without a left turn arrow, is exacerbated.

Please restore this intersection design to the superior arrangement that we had while under the governance of Dekalb County.

    Thanks,
