There's a large dead animal on the curve of Hemingway St from Quinnipiac Ave right side just past 24's mailbox. Right now as of 9:40 a.m. 5/28 it's still in one piece but once a car or truck runs over it, it will be gross. There's no space but to move into the other lane to avoid it. I called the 7700 number but the office is closed. Thank you.

Hemingway St is a mess of potholes, crumbled pavement and now spider-webbing cracks. It's been well over a decade since it's been properly paved. The area between Quinnipiac and the railroad trestle has been constantly patched. Every year, for over 12 years, I look at the spring paving list and it's never on it! It's dangerous when people swerve to avoid holes.

It's been eating away our driveways, our alignment, and the birds think they are bird baths and will get hit by cars. I have to crawl over the area under the trestle.

If the city could do the road on Hemingway St between Quinnipiac and the railroad trestle, it would be great and we wouldn't have to keep calling with potholes.

    Thank you.

There is a new pothole in the middle of Hemingway St near First Street as well as a missing pipe cap. Hemingway St really needs to be re-paved from the top at Quinnipiac down to Russell St, at the least. The area under the train trestle is very bad that you have to crawl over it. I've lived here over 10 years and all we've had is patch after patch, the side of the road is crumbled and is always producing asphalt rocks due to rain runoff and snowplows eating away our dirt and grass embankment that helps absorb some of the rain water. The same goes for the area under the train trestle on Quinnipiac close to Foxon Blvd which also floods and eats out the already damaged and rough pavement. While I recognize the city has many places that need paving, this just gets worse and worse and then wastes time patching and patching, plus it damages cars. Thank you for your consideration.

Someone dumped three cinder blocks on the side of the road and one on our driveway causing a hazard. They are now all at the corner of Hemingway St and First Ave next to the light pole, gutter, and a pile of leaves.

There has also been a tire under the railroad tracks for well over a month. I pick up trash, but not that big. Perhaps the city should outsource to someone who could use the money and have someone with a pick-up truck go around and pick up the large debris/trash. UI should also pick up all the tree trunks they left behind. On the corner of Hemingway St and Quninnipiac there are still some left. It's not the woods, it looks unsightly and could be a hazard to cars, snow plows, etc.

    Thank you!

The weeds on the right side of Hemingway from the direction of Quinnipiac toward Eastern St need to be cut. Just the lower ones, not what's on the neighbors's fences--just the lower easement. It is dangerous to not be able to see around the curve going downhill and you can't see oncoming cars for those seconds. I pick up trash on the road (which gets very bad) and cars are always driving way too fast on Hemingway St.
