Streets Acknowledged1677-1699 Albany Ave Chula Vista, CA, 91911, USA - SouthwestWe need street sweeping on Main Street. The attached photo is from the intersection of Main and Albany. You can see the dust cloud created by the dirty street, especially the center of the street in the foreground. Zoom in on the intersection, inline with the rails there is a dirt collection from lack of street sweeping. It's a constant cloud of dust in this area that's especially bad for people with respiratory problems. Take care of this please.

Street Construction Open3530 Main St Chula Vista, California, 91911 - SouthwestThere is a rusted hole on top of this electrical box. It's big enough to put your hand in. There are electrical wires exposed. If anyone reaches in and touches those wires they could be electrocuted. VERY DANGEROUS!

It's very dangerous as it's a major crosswalk used by children going to school.

Traffic Signal (Not Working) Acknowledged3494 Main St Chula Vista, CA, 91911, USA - Southwest
Last week as a CVPD was going east on Main Street at a high rate of speed with lights and siren going the traffic lights did not turn red as he approached the intersection of Main and Albany. One CVPD went through the intersection on a green light but another maybe 30 seconds behind the first approached on a red light. North and south traffic had a green light and a car from the south side of the intersection began to enter the intersection. I was jumping up and down with my hands up to get his attention and I think someone else began honking seeing that a ugly collision was about to happen. He braked and stopped and the CVPD went through the intersection at a moderate speed.
They would have collided if the car from the south did not stop. Please check the emergency light change to red sensors. I think they malfunctioned.
This happened the day and about the time that the two SDPD were killed (RIP) on 905 in that terrible head on crash.

Signs Archived495 Telegraph Canyon Rd Chula Vista, CA, 91910, USA - Lynwood Hills
When going north on 805 and exiting at the L street/Telegraph Canyon Road off ramp there needs to be more signs stating "no turn on red". A large sign at the center island is needed as the one way across the street is small and difficult to see. People are always turning on the red light causing near accidents.
I would consider this a missing sign that needs to be in place to reduce liability for the city in the event of a accident.

There is a tree that is falling/leaning across the sidewalk. It's about 5' or less now above the sidewalk and will topple over soon.
Someone not paying attention is going to get hurt.

Pothole Archived3925 Main Street Chula Vista, California - SouthwestWe have another sink hole forming near the center lane heading east on main right before date street. This is not a pot hole, it is a long sink hole running east and west. Just a matter of time until it collapses and someone is injured or worse.
-
Pothole ArchivedOtay Valley Road And Main Street Chula Vista, California - SouthwestThe area around the man hole cover has sunk to a dangerous level. It was patched a few months ago but it is obvious that this is a storm drain and after the rains last week it has sunk as the pipe must be leaking. If a car goes over this depression at a high speed it will loose control and possibly go head on into on coming traffic. I can emphasize the importance of fixing this sinking area correctly!

Storm Drain Archived4120-4198 Main Street Chula Vista, California - Southwest
The area around this cover is sinking. I would suspect a pipe break as it is getting worse and worse. I drive this route every day and my car is now bottoming out when I go over the drain area. I try to avoid that lane but when I forget I am quickly reminded when my car bottoms out.
It is the cover closest to the center of the street at the intersection of Main and Otay Valley Road.
