    Not just a pothole, more like a lunar crater. Another case of Oakland Public Works letting contractors do half-assed jobs patching sewer holes, and then they crumble six weeks later.

    The whole intersection of Broadway Terrace and Hermosa Ave up to Buena Vista Ave is like driving through a war zone. Whichever contractors leave the road that poorly patched should be denied permits in Oakland. The city officials responsible for overseeing the repairs should be fired, ground up, and used as fill to even out the road. If the road was never paved in the first place it would be better than it is now. How many tires, rims and suspensions does the city have to pay for before someone wakes up?

    A white Mercedes SUV, with a flat driver-side front tire, has been parked in the same spot since at least October 14. The vehicle was ticketed that same day for violating the street-sweeping restriction.

    The warning stripes are so faded that cars regularly cut the blind corner. They don't realize that their mirrors protrude over the sidewalk. Even AC Transit buses cut this corner. This is often at a speed faster than the posted speed limit and endangers the elderly and children who live in the surrounding buildings.

    There was sewer or water line work done. Afterward, the street repair was done so poorly that there is very uneven hole that cars swerve to avoid. This is extremely dangerous as many cars use this street and have to merge from one side to the other. Our streets are bad enough without construction crews creating additional holes and obstacles.

    The street light in front of 663/669 Oakland Avenue is failing. The light comes on for about 2 minutes, then goes out for about 5 minutes. It leaves this part of the block very dark and dangerous.
