Today a couple of city workers spent about 10 minutes putting some cheap asphalt filler into the regularly occurring cracks that can be seen on 5th St near the Lemon St intersection. This has been the same method that the city has been using to "resolve" this recurring problem for roughly 6 years now.

Here is my 2013 report about this issue in the same exact spot:

Here is my 2015 report about the damage on 5th St:
    https://seeclickfix.com/issues/1975220-street-damage-all-along-5th-st

Grant St got a freshly paved asphalt top. Where is the fresh asphalt layer for 5th St that I was told, after many hours of spent on the end of a endlessly ringing phone line 5 years ago, that this was being planned and slated?

Participatory Budgeting votes almost always place Street Maintenance and Repair at the top of the list, by a wide margin. There is are a lot of tax dollars going towards fixing our roads, but 5th St, a road that Police cars and Firefighter trucks regularly drive through is not being properly fixed.

The filler that is there within hours has spit out many chunks of asphalt rocks that litter the street and make it look a right mess. There is no city street sweep on 5th St, so guess who has to sweep up this mess? The residents do and with a push broom. It is absurd.

When will 5th St be properly repaved with fresh asphalt?

5th St & Lemon St Vallejo, CA, 94590, USA - Vallejo
This couch has been sitting on the corner of 5th and Lemon St for about 4 days now and needs to be removed.
  • 100-186 5th Street Vallejo, California - Vallejo
Black graffiti with the text "wytor? US" and a bunch of scrambled nonsense.

There is a large pile of illegally dumped trash, tires, and shopping cart next to the 5th St railroad crossing in front of the palm tree.

It can be found exactly where the pin is located on the map.

  • Lake Dalwigk Park Vallejo, California - Vallejo

Various graffiti words easily visible in posted image.

Also a splash of green paint on the ground.

  • 924 Lemont St Vallejo, California - Vallejo
Large 36"+ graffiti tags on this property's fence facing Lake Dalwigk Park next to the basketball court.
  • Lake Dalwigk Park Vallejo, California - Vallejo
Green tags spell out something similar to: "ECT". The spot I marked on the map is near exact location. Near 5th and Chestnut crossroads in the park.

In white, there remains the graffiti spelling "BBH", and the gray cover up looks almost worse than the original tag.

The best way to get rid of graffiti is going to be painting over with a matching color. Many of the graffiti "cleaned" areas of the park are covered in a spray paint that is a dark grey and looks nothing like the lighter tan color that the concrete was painted previously. It is just as detracting as graffiti to have a non-color-matched blotch on a piece of public property.

Right across from the playgrounds, there is a cement cylinder with the letters "LPB" that are still clearly visible.

Lake Dalwigk Park Playground Welcome Sign now includes the words: "30 Bitchgang" and "Woppem".

As marked on the map, a little ways into the concrete trail and before the fork heading towards the basketball court, there is a pink splotch of graffiti paint.
  • 800-898 Lemon Street Vallejo, California - Vallejo
Black marker tags all across the inner face of the Dalwigk Park's playground cement wall. Including the words "SMESR1", "YKO", and "G*R4".
  • 500-598 5th Street Vallejo, California - Vallejo
Next to the children's playground, at the start of the cement path, the large decorative rock has been graffiti tagged with black and red paint.
  • 514 5th St Vallejo, California - Vallejo
Near the stairway in the park, on 5th St, the pedestrian sign has been tagged with the letters "AB".
  • 400-498 5th St Vallejo, California - Vallejo

Also halfway down the stairs, on the opposite side of the other reported utility box, this utility box sits covered in various tags.

Looks as though the utility box has been cleaned of graffiti before, but not very effectively. Many of the tags are still legible. I advise spraying the box with a matching paint, instead of scrubbing it clean.

Halfway down the stairway that can be seen closer to the middle of Lake Dalwigk Park on the 5th St side, this utility box sits covered in various graffiti tags.

Along with the entire building being tagged, the delinquents decided to tag the city utility box as well.
  • 1081 Sonoma Blvd Vallejo, California - Vallejo

This location recently got a "free paint job". There are too many tags to count and each of them are spanning 8 feet or more across the front of the building, side of the building, entry ways, and, most notably, the corrugated steel fence surrounding the property.

The tags include words like: "GLOSS", "FEAR", "COOK", and an assortment of other rubbish. In the attached image alone, there are a total of at least 10 separate graffiti tags each varying between 2 feet and 8 feet long. There are many more on this building.

Fresh graffiti tags mark the city property in front of the Marijuana Dispensary that no doubt is taking business away from the taggers.
  • 947 Sonoma Blvd Vallejo, California - Vallejo
Unseen in the photo as it was taken off of Google Maps, but I have circled the exact location of the fresh "PUKES" tag.
