Something has to be done to slow the traffic originating at Parkhaven going south in the direction of Westminister. (Guelph is North/South as per the sun rise/sun set).
Perhaps a year-round speed bump designed to limit speed to 40kmh would be a reasonable safety option.
A much less desirable option would be a stop sign.

The stop line at Kincourt in direction Guelph is in the right place. But Kincourt does not meet GUELPH road at 90 degree angle. Meaning we can't see cross traffic coming.

A property on Guelph has shrubs that block visibility to oncoming traffic.

In order the determine if it is safe to make a left turn from Kincourt onto Guelph, we have to inch forward in the lane to almost the centre line. This past week, there was a non-fatality accident, one of many fender-benders at that intersection.

Every "stop sign" is responsible for one/quarter of a teaspoon of wasted gasoline by every vehicle that has to stop and then go. Every stopsign is a polution generator.

Is there a by-law that is in effect to have backflow valves installed into sewer lines leading to city sewers? Could you tell me if when that by-law went into effect, and if it applied to my residence and that of my neighbours.
My insurance company wants to know when the by-law went into effect, given my building was constructed in 1959.

I put the garbage bin out Wednesday night on Kildare at the bus stop. During the day, before the truck came by, someone put a small carton with paper over the garbage within the bin.
The garbage company decided to not collect the trash.
My bin is 5 meters from the back door of the bus.
I would like for the city to tell the Company that they should not play garbage policeman. We are lucky that the flies and vermon will not become excessive due to cool weather.

Driving from LouisPasteur x Cavendish toward CSL road, at 8am,
for the past week or even before, the traffic light timings
are resulting in a redlight stop at Mackle, the RedLight at entrance to CityHall, red light at Kildare, red light at Fleet, red light at Merton and then CSL road. I have to stop and wait at every traffic light. The traffic flow is favouring direction CSL road to Mackle.
Is the programming setup to favour Kildare into Cavendish and Haywood into Cavendish?

I do not want to take sidestreets down to Haywood so as to go with the flow.

Significantly large Pothole in the lane near the bottom of the underpass in the direction from Guelph to Cote-Saint-Luc Road.

The tractor driver who was cleaning the sidewalks today went by the entrance to the Dog run on Mackle and smashed a black garbage bin, breaking the wheels and damaging the bin. He hit it so hard with the tractor blade that the bin was dug into the grass by the force of the plow.

It seems to me that the Driver of the snow plow also did a number on the grass alongside the sidewalk. Is he in need of anger management?

There was no reason for the bin to be there, other than the city workers did not replace the bin inside the Dog run.

The tractor driver should be made to pay for a replacement bin. The damage was avoidable. His job does not entitle him to use the tractor to destroy city property.

The bin being where it was in front of the gate of the dog, not because of negligence of the Park users. Had the driver stepped out of the tractor, moved the city bin 10CM (about one foot), this damage would not have happened.

Our taxes should not pay for his negligence.

Sidewalk is broken longitudinally for about 5 meters. It would be a problem for pedestrians and those with walkers. The cracks are deep.
The long stretch of broken sidewalk could be smoothed over with asphalt or patching cement until next spring or when that stretch of sidewalk could be permenantly repaired.
  • 6701 Haywood Côte Saint-Luc, Québec - Côte-Saint-Luc
The property to the south (adjoining vacant lot) has severely broken sidewalk for about 15 feet and around half the width. There is a 2 inch heave on one side and one crack is large enough to put a hand inside the gap.
Please take a look. A cement patch could fill in the hole and in in the spring, the sidewalk could be repaired.
I would not recommend a city sidewalk plow towing a sander trailer drive over that section.
  • Corner Cavendish And Fleet Côte Saint-Luc, Québec - Côte-Saint-Luc

In gong down Cavendish to make a left rurn onto Fleet, I watched an accident happen.
There are two lanes, Each lane had a van in it. In making the turns, the inside van passenger mirror hit the outside van driver mirror.
Two things can be done. Repaint the white lines, giving more room for the inside driver to negotiate the run, while guiding the outside vehicle away (half meter would do the job).

Alternately, next spring, or whenever soon, reduce the island size by about the same amount (means moving the traffic light) or cut the cement back to the traffic light.

    Or
    Do a little of both.

When will the French version of ClickFix be available. CSL should respect the large French population that resides here.

Abd when will CSL produce statistics about the types of repairs, the average time it takes to do a repair, and the costs of the repair.
We tax payers have a right to know.

  • Opposite Royal Bank At Cavendish And Kildare Côte Saint-Luc, Québec - Côte-Saint-Luc

Pothole in the left lane heading north that is large enough to rupture a tire and damage a rim.
It is opposite the Royal Bank in the outside lane.

The pot hole has been there for some time. I watched city vehicles go over it and drive by and noone took the time to report it.

  • 5752 Av Lockwood H4w 1y9 Côte Saint-Luc, Québec - Côte-Saint-Luc

    Please read this!!!

Remove the Open top Trash bin from the bus stop and replace it with a closed top (blue or whatever split/bin) that has a cover.

We had an open bin before for 5 years (2008-2013). Having it there was a disaster. All around this stop are bachelor apartment tenants who left their kitchen garbage at the bin, and since there is no collection on Saturday and Sunday, garbage piled up over the top, onto the lawn. The smell was horrific, and the skunks came. It was awful.
We also experienced car drivers throwing their daily bags of scraps at the bin, basketball style, without stopping to pick up the misses.

We have already picked up cigarette butts , plastic bottles and straws, as well as other scrap. Transfer this bin in to the laneway(Whitehorne Brookside) that is 150 feet to the south, and give us that bin. Otherwise, remove the open, no lid, trash can or I will.

    Why am I upset?
Recall, garbage collection is once a week. In the morning, bachelor apartment dwellers leave their bags of garbage in the bin. In the afternoon, it is the students from John Grant school who leave water bottles, cigarette butts, etc. The bin used to overflow with trash.

Please note. (70 seconds) or 164 steps to the north, at Parkhaven is another bus stop. (I measured the steps). It is about 220 steps to the south to Melling. This bus stop is redundant. It is not necessary.

As a temporary measure, until a swap takes place, the existing bin should be emptied after 9am, and definitely on Saturdays and Sundays.

Bachelor dwellers have left for work or school before 9am. In summer, these bachelor apartment dwellers cannot keep trash in their dwellings for one week.

Our experience. An open trash-bin in the summer that was not emptied on Saturday and Sunday was overflowing, with garbage in the bin and on the ground. It was a disaster that forced us to have it's removal. We got skunks and groundhogs from having that open bin. When the bin was removed, the skunks and groundhogs disappeared.

514-369-1685 Phone me with what you are going to do. I am the property owner at that location.

  • 5752 Lockwood Côte Saint-Luc, Québec - Côte-Saint-Luc

The bus stop has litter spewed around. Old transfer stubs, coffee cups, sandwich wrappers and more. Majority of bus users are the young students at the school or kids from the sports centre.

Can we have the team that empties the trash bins at the bus stops also pay a weekly (or daily) visit to the 161 stop on Kildare and Lockwood?

  • Dog Run Mackle Road Côte Saint-Luc, Québec - Côte-Saint-Luc

Its a sad sad situation in the Dog run. One third of the trees are dead from the beetle that bore holes into the trunk, all around the tree, one third are on the way to dying, as the beetle tries to devour the remaining trees.

Please bring a chain saw and a chipper. The trees are dead, and need removal.

  • Last Address On Trinity Côte Saint-Luc, Québec - Côte-Saint-Luc

I noticed that the aluminium pole had a new cover over the opening for the electrical connections. That pole faced the sports centre.
Right next to it, at the last house on Trinity is another pole that is open at the base, with exposed wiring.

Can a similar cover as was done for the first pole, be applied to the adjacent one?
