Last year via ClickFix I reported that a city sign at the corner of Mackle and Westminister was so old that the lettering had fallen off.
    No action.
This spring, I again reported the sign was in need of repair (after 40+ years in place). The sign was taken down in April, leaving the post in place. Is the city going to replace the sign, and if so, is there a target date for the replacement?. The new sign should at least include on it the "Sports Centre", "Arena," "Trudeau Park" .

The sidewalk between Lockwood and Parkhaven on the even numbered side of the street has wide cracks in it. Cracks that may cause a person to trip and fall.

I reported this a week ago. Yesterday there was a watermain repair at this same corner.
When the water main repair is repaved, can the same contractor include closing the holes in the road and repaving over the gaps in the road for at least 100 feet.
There is a problem for the buses and cars making the right turn from Kildare onto Cavendish. We have to go around the holes, so as to not have damage to suspension of vehicle

Since last summer I have been reporting that the sewer entrance on the west side of Cavendish across from this address is blocked. With every rain, we have a large puddle formed, as the sewer does not drain. This problem was first reported in 2014 several times, and I am reporting it again.

The sewer needs to be cleaned. It is the only sewer for more than 100 feet, and all rain water flows to it.

  • Cavendish At Kildare Côte Saint-Luc, Québec - Côte-Saint-Luc
There are holes in the road that are causing problems for vehicles turning south from Kildare to Cavendish, on Cavendish just at the lights. We have to switch lanes to avoid a broken wheel or damaged tire from possibly occurring.

Can the city set up some traps for a pair of skunks that have taken residence around the three or 4 homes behind 5752 Av Lockwood. Yes, skunks.
Our dog got sprayed when he approached one on our lawn.

There is an elderly couple that use the 161 bus at that corner. For a week there was a sign indicating that there would be no service for part of Sunday. They could not read it because the sign is too high, and placed above the sign for a cross walk.

Can the crosswalk sign and the stm bus sign be swapped in positions, so that the cross walk sign is above the stm bus sign. Each of the couples is in their late 80s and appear to have vision problems.

My neighbour works nights, He has a permit for his car to permit him to park on the street. He has that right and I don't want to take it away from him.
However, at least once a week the water truck comes by, followed by the cleaner truck. The cleaner truck has to go around his car.

Is the cleaning a regularly scheduled operation? I could have the neighbor park his car on another location for that day.
Please advise. At the curb where his car is parked are old leaves and winter gravel. Don't want that to end up in the sewers.

The dog run has not been maintained for a few years. There is a need of crushed stones around the park benches near the trees, and the park benches are in need of a coat of paint.

Regarding the stones, areas that were covered are bare, and areas closer to Mackle are adequately covered.

There are daily, about 50 users and 100 dogs who are "users" of this park.

Just before Jack Vincelli nursery is a CSL sign that has become illegible (Lettering is about gone). That sign directed people to veer to the right for the arena, Trudeau Park. The sign has been there since 1960. It needs to be replaced with one that reminds visitors that the ACC, Dog Run, Arena, Trudeau Park and the Marina (the row boats at Centinial part) are North-east on Mackle. (Mackle runs norh-south according to the compass)

    Visit and check it out.

Directly across the street from the school, we have a deep longitudinal split in the sidewalk for about 40 feet (15meters), and as well, a sunken road that borders the sidewalk. It appears that the ground beneath the sidewalk and road between the start of the problem and the sewer has washed away. Its only a matter of time before that part of the road collapses.

Does the road need to be dug up to determine the reason for the coming sinkhole?

The City Tree at the corner of Kildare and Lockwood has grown to the extent that it needs a trim.
    a) on the Kildare side, it is touching Hydro Quebec Powerlines
    b) on the Lockwood side, it is rubbing gainst the Videotron lines
    c) Broken branche could fall on pedestrians causing severe injury.
Tree is rubbing against the cables connecting HQ lines to the house. HQ in the past refused to trim that section of the tree, as it was considered a city responsibility. Now before the leaves are on the tree, we can see what has toa be trimmed.

I need to swap 1 large brown bin for 1 Green Bin and 1 large Blue bin for 1 Green bin.

Both bins were the largest size that the city of CSL provided.

I will need to know a time that the swap could take place.

  • 5752 Av :Lockwood Cote Saint Luc , Quebec - Côte-Saint-Luc

THE COLOR OF A BIN SHOULD NOT MATTER. THURSDAY IS GARBAGE DAY. THE GARBAGE WAS NOT COLLECTED.

For two weeks, though the garbage has been put out in bags within bins, it is the second Thursday in a row that the garbage has not been picked up. We are a family of nine, and the volume of two weeks garbage is not something we have room to store. On the ground it occupies more than the surface area of a normal car.

Thursday is the day and the colour of the bin should not make any difference. We have three blue bins and two brown bins for a single family dwelling. There is no room to leave garbage to accumulate for another week.
Either the city has to send a vehicle to collect the contents of the bins or the city must provide me with a location within the City to where I can make some trips to leave the garbage that was in the bins.

NOTE. I wrote to the councillors that this would happen. It has now happened.

Note. The color fo the bin does not matter any more, it is the day of the week that counts. Thursday is trash day for non-recyclables.

WHERE IS THE CITY DUMP OR CONTAINER FOR SUCH PROBLEMS?

Phone me to give me instructions as to where to drop off the equivalent of 4 bins of trash. 514-369-1685

Fellow residents. ASK the city for the location of a BIN for residents to accept garbage when the collectors did not accept a bin.

Its pothole fill time. On Cavendish at Kildare, as we turn towards Cote Saint Luc Road, there is a pothole that is about 1 cubic foot in size. If a smaller wheeled car hits it, that car will damage an axle or kill a rim and tire.

More pothole repairs to do going on CSLuc side of CSL road near Alpine, though not as severe. Cavendish at Kildare is a large one to fill

The sewer is blocked. There was sufficient flooding today (8am) to raise the water above the height of the island. The water is not draining.

This was reported previously in the summer, in the fall and now in the winter. When that water freezes, there will most likely be a car accident for the left turn lane towards Decarie.

  • 5505 Cavendish Rd Cote Saint Luc, Quebec - Côte-Saint-Luc
Sewer blocked. During rainstorm or when municipal truck hoses the street, water collects and does not drain.
The problem was previously reported in the spring.
The sewer in question is on west side of the island.
When it rains heavily, or less so, the puddle is about 3 inches deep and 60 feet in length. The sewer is blocked. Needs to be vacuumed clean.
  • West Side Einstein South Of Kildare Côte Saint-Luc, Quebec - Côte-Saint-Luc

Not visible from the street;. There are at least 28 squares that are broken in half, split down the middle. With some, you can put a pencil in the crack and with others, your fingers.

Further along, before you get to Guelph, there is another group of squares that are in bad shape.

In both cases, it is possible that the sidewalk crushed rock support was partially washed away, and that the snow-removal tractor caused the split down the middle.

Someone from the city is needed to judge if the damage is to be repaired.
