Ingleside Woods HOA requests a traffic study to determine if the HOA will be allowed to install speed breakers on the portion of Stinsonville Road inside our subdivision and also on that portion of Sugarloaf Drive inside our subdivision that is straight. Lots of Geico employees will soon return to the office and will be using this shortcut to the parking lot. There are potholes a plenty on Lorine Drive and Adkins Place beginning on the little street off Ocmulgee East Blvd. between the Waffle House and the Dairy Queen and from there on over to the GEICO property. Would really be great if these poor streets could get a liberal dose of sticky asphalt.

The Macon Water Authority dug a huge hole in the middle of the street in front of our house to repair the sewer line. I have no problem with that, as they gotta do what they gotta do. However it is likely they do a much better job on sewer repair than they do on street asphalt repair. There remains an approx 8 foot by 8 foot hump of soft asphalt-gravel(?) material in the middle of the street that I and my neighbors drive on each side of. Just wondering if this is our completed repair to the asphalt, or if the MWA is coming back out to do more digging, or if final asphalt finishing repair is already on the list of things to do for the road department? Thank you! :)

There has been an orange barrel over a square cutout (about 2 square feet) in the asphalt at this location for over a year now. The Ingleside Woods HOA would like for you to fill in the square cutout in the asphalt at this location and take your orange barrel with you.

On June 25th, the Public Works Department cleaned up a fallen tree. It was a privately owned tree that fell across the only entrance to Ingleside Woods on June 23rd. We were grateful to the Public Works Dept. for removing the tree from the road, but they had no call to remove it entirely from private property. (If they were looking to remove it from the right of way, they overestimated the depth of the right of way by a good 15 feet.) During the removal of the tree from the right of way and privately owned property, the public works department's equipment damaged the concrete buttress surrounding the drain pipe entrance opposite of 3398 Stinsonville Road. And when the guy on the backhoe was pushing the tree limbs out of the road, he carelessly gouged the heck out of the asphalt at this location. Such gouges will cause the asphalt to degrade more quickly than it otherwise would have. See attached photo.

My garbage pick up was missed last week and this is all that I have to show for my efforts to get it picked up: "Office101@SW wrote: Your service request has been received. It has been referred to a route supervisor to schedule removal. Request are processed in the order received."

It was never picked up. "Office101@SW" seems to be saying, "Suck it, homeowner, we'll get to it if we want to, but we're probably not going to want to."
