Fishing on sea wall Archived241 Townsend Ave New Haven, CT 06512, USA - East ShoreRecently the fence on the Pardee Sea Wall was painted. There used to be no fishing signs all along the fence. They were removed prior to the fence being painted but we're not reinstalled after the painting was finished. No there are more and more people fishing on the sea wall. This is an area of high pedestrian foot traffic. I'm noticing hooks being left behind. Rotting fish guts are strewn all over the walk way and grass. Could someone please look into putting the signs back or policing the area until they are.

SNOW RELATED Archived33-35 Florence Avenue New Haven, CT 06512, USA - East ShoreJust witnessed a private contractor bury a fire hydrant,at the corner of Florence Ave and Townsend Ave, with his snow plow. I called NHPD to inform them what had happened. An officer was dispatched and arrived immediately. Unfortunately they left just as quickly without questioning the plow operator.

Traffic/Road Safety Archived1-19 Florence Avenue New Haven, CT 06512, USA - East ShoreManhole cover on Florence Ave and intersection of Townsend Ave was moved, possibly from snowplow. I was able to slide it back into place but I was unable to get it to seat properly due to ice and snow. There's a good chance that it will be dislodged again when the plows come by.

Sidewalks and Curb damage Archived33-35 Florence Avenue New Haven, CT 06512, USA - East ShoreI would like to thank public works for plowing snow and ice onto my sidewalk which up until this point was cleared for pedestrian traffic. Judging from the distance the ice was thrown, whoever was driving was going at a pretty good rate of speed. Just glad that nobody was walking on the sidewalk at the time, they would of surely have been knocked out.
