The sidewalk / bike path that goes east-bound underneath the freeway is one of the most disgusting places I have to go through on my way to work. The homeless encampments use every corner of space down here to throw their garbage. If you look behind the concrete divider/fence down into the ivy, there is ton's of trash. There is trash in every nook and cranny. And is smells TERRIBLE. There is broken glass all over the sidewalk. This boon to society not only is dangerous and most likely a health hazard, but it is also attracting nefarious characters - I'm pretty sure a fair amount of drug deals happen at the base of the steps that go up to Peralta Ave.

This area is a constant dump site for people living out of their vans/campers. There is currently a box of garbage which is starting to spread around the street. There is also trash which is ALWAYS blowing out of a business on the street (plastic and polystyrene wrapping) constantly plaguing this street.

The issue WAS NOT TAKEN CARE OF the first time I posted this, months ago. Now the lot is even more full of garbage, which is blowing onto the sidewalk and streets and out into the neighborhood.
Please actually get someone to clean this up - don't just mark this case "resolved".
  • Cesar Chavez Bike Path San Francisco, California - Bernal Heights
I don't care that there are homeless people camping out under the highway, but it is spilling out onto the bike path. Every morning as I follow the bike path under 101, eastbound along Cesar Chavez, I find myself dodging multiple carts, bins, and debris. The bike path is becoming a parking lot for shopping carts. There is also random debris, garbage, and broken glass. It is a very unsafe situation. The last straw was this morning when I road past a transient taking a @#$% on the bike path. First I have to run the shopping cart gauntlet, and now I have to see dicks while I'm doing it?!

I don't mind the overgrowth. It actually looks nice in this neighborhood. But it is hiding a bunch of garbage that people keep throwing over the barriers. In the fall when all this high grass is dead, this is just an empty lot full of trash. Its disgusting and the neighborhood should be embarrassed. And it blows out of the lot into the other yards on the street. The attached pictures show some of the trash you can see.
Again - the overgrowth is not the problem. its all the TRASH.
  • Cesar Chavez Street San Francisco, California - Bernal Heights
Every morning I ride east, under the highway, along the Cesar Chavez bike path. Every morning, I have to dodge shopping carts and rolling bins full of transient possessions. I don't mind that these people are camping out under the highway. Its dry down there. I get it. But the bike path is turning into a shopping cart parking lot. I need to use it. And the trash from the people living there is getting worse and worse. Broken glass and food wrappers are everywhere. This morning, while I was running the "shopping cart gauntlet", I also had to dodge around a guy that decided to take a leak on the bike path. Please clean out the bike path.
  • 1501-1527 York Street San Francisco, California - Bernal Heights
There is a sign from some sort of old sidewalk construction or some other project that the City never collected. It has been laying on the sidewalk or leaning on a tree on York St for at LEAST the last two months. Please come collect this.
  • 1900-1999 Carroll Avenue San Francisco, California - Bayview
This street is filthy. There is garbage strewn up and down the sidewalks. There are always box trucks parked on the street (backed up to the sidewalk) and it seems that pallets and other garbage are just thrown out the back of them onto the sidewalk.
There are sections on the north side of the street where you have to walk in the street because of debris on the sidewalk and how far back the trucks are backed onto the sidewalk. The businesses on the block certainly aren't laying any claim to responsibility to clean this up, and neither are the vagrants living out of their pickup/campers.
  • 2827 Cesar Chavez Street San Francisco, California - Bernal Heights
Somebody has dumped a pile of garbage next to the bike path, just as it separates from Cesar Chavez Street to go under the on-ramp for the 101, heading east. This is an often used path by cyclists and pedestrians, and needs to be cleaned up. I don't think the people that are sleeping under the on-ramp are about to do it...
  • 824-832 Milton Street Oakland, California - McClymonds
Someone has dumped old cabinet/counters in the street. They have been there for about a month now. One of them fell apart and there are nails everywhere now. Since that has been there, other people are dumping more stuff. There is a long hallway table, and a couch that has been drug by someone down by the corner.
All this trash furniture is blocking street parking and weekly street cleaning. Please send someone out to remove this.
I'm sure my entire building, if not the entire street, will appreciate it.

    807-849 27th Street Oakland, California - Hoover-Foster
Somebody either abandoned or just doesn't care about their RV.
It has been parked in the exact same spot for at least almost 3 months. It has received numerous parking citations.
In the last week, someone has ripped the side door to the living quarters open, which makes this thing seem like a trap waiting to happen. Can this thing get towed out of here?
