5 Chatham Street New Haven, Connecticut - Chatham Square
Who maintains this lot in front of 5 Chatham? It's the small lot that got added a few years ago to slow Front St. traffic. It is in between the sidewalk and the street.
I was told this was public space and want to confirm that.
    Thanks

Lombard from Ferry to around Rowe is a hot mess of bumps and holes. Please help us out here in Fair Haven!
  • 321 Lombard Street New Haven, Connecticut - Chatham Square
The block from Ferry to Rowe on Lombard is full of holes. Some of them are very deep. They impede auto and bike traffic significantly as most cars cross over the yellow line to avoid the holes. Please help!

There are usually at least four light cycles before the walk sign happens. Most people just jaywalk because they figure it's not going to change.
  • Grand And Front New Haven, CT - Chatham Square

I'm trying to get my head around this issue. The bridge moves to let boats by. All lights go red, which makes sense. The bridge returns to roadway operation. The light coming from Fair Haven Heights turns green but the light from Fair Haven stays red. Lots of honking, expecting the person in front to run the red.

    Weird.

  • Farnam Drive New Haven, Connecticut - East Rock

OK. We all know that drivers speed like crazy on Farnam and English Dr and that it's a relatively narrow road most of the way. Cars get hit. Cyclists get hit. Big unsafe bummer all around.

What are the reasons for and against having speed bumps on these roads? Are they park roads?

    Discuss...?
