Dam 20 Amsterdam, The Netherlands - Amsterdam
The main junction by the Dam Square is chaotic and crowded with trams, taxis, cars, cyclists, tuk-tuks and pedestrians.
However, it's particularly dangerous for cyclists heading towards Paleisstraat by the Dam. The road is simply not wide enough. On one side, there is a bicycle lane, but on the other there isn't one. Cars don't leave enough space for the cyclists so many are forced to cycle along the (oncoming) tram tracks. It's dangerous because a tram could come round the corner any minute; not to mention the danger with the proximity of cars (especially taxis) to cyclists.
What's more who's stupid idea was it to make the Dam cobbled? It's very hard to cycle on and not at all comfortable.
