Accidents, Accidents, Accidents Archived100 Avenue Grande Prairie, Alberta - Grande PrairieReally it's the drivers who are running the red lights but this intersection is horrible for accidents! Can anything be done with the timing sequence to make the red lights longer before traffic can proceed? Or any other suggestions...?
Huge thank you to the first responders. -
Hospital - Parking Meters Archived10409 98 Street Grande Prairie, Alberta - Grande PrairieI heard on the radio that the city is considering putting parking meters around the neighbouring streets of the hospital to deter people from parking there all day. Has anyone considered the parking in the lot beside city hall (where the dorm used to be), to make it in to a parkade, so it could be used by people going to The Library, City Hall, The Hospital, The Police Station, The Court House, Downtown etc). I know the residents are frustrated, but why bother with the meters now when the new hospital is being built? I think I would be annoyed visiting someone and having to plug the meter every couple hours.

Street Light Needed? Archived10309 98 St Grande Prairie, AB - Grande PrairieThis corner may be in need of a traffic light. It is nearly impossible to turn left, partially due to the fact that vehicles parked in the parking lot (East of 98th street) block your view of oncoming traffic. Even turning right, there have been many close calls. With the Library, Provincial Building and RCMP down this road, there's just too much traffic.

82 Avenue Grande Prairie, AB - Grande PrairieI don't believe that I've seen the sidewalk on the North side of 82 Avenue (next to Kensington Place) since this summer. I know the City is not responsible for clearing it, but can a notice be sent to the property management? Also, the ice/snow buildup on the south side of the road it getting to be ridiculous. It's a major hump to get over to try and park your car.
