  • Trumbull Street New Haven, Connecticut - Downtown
For the last several weeks, there are cars parked on either side of Trumbull Street from the 91 Off Ramp through Hillhouse Avenue during morning rush hour. This is a no parking zone from 7am-9am to allow for two lanes of traffic on each side. Every day there are cars parked during this morning rush hour time, preventing two lanes of traffic from moving efficiently. The signs state tow zone during those times, yet nothing seems to happen to these cars.
The real hazard is a car moving up the right lane assuming the car (parked) ahead is also moving until they have to slam breaks as they get closer. This area needs to more attention on weekday mornings to prevent such a traffic back log. If a sign says tow zone, let's round up the tow trucks and yank those cars out of there, or serve them a hefty fine each time they park before 9am.
